As we all know there is a vast number of traditions narrated in honor of Sayyidna Ali K.W
However there are some widespread traditions about him which are very weak but very well known
e.g Birth in Ka’aba , which is not true and the Bab ul ilm hadith which is also a very weak tradition
I know in arabic there is a list of such traditions about him, I was hoping with the help of the knowledgable members we can make a list here.
Re: Weak Traditions associated with Ali ibn Abitalib KaramAllahwajho
^ Ok thats a good idea
I have no idea ...btw some things are in Seerah and Maghazi not in Sahih hadith that does not automatically make them fabricated.Without magahzi a lot of details of battles will be lost,I was more interested traditions
E.g name of Ali's horse sword etc might not be backed by a sahih chain but its no reason to deny that it false as a lot of details of magahzi are not. However if someone claims this sword had magical powers then for sure their is a ulterior motive behind such a tradition and likely needs further investigation as its likely fabricated to project ALi over ABuBakr and Umar.

Example.... Ali a.s being nafs-e-Rasool s.a.w, totally fabricated.
Re: Weak Traditions associated with Ali ibn Abitalib KaramAllahwajho
^ # 3 is weak , #4 and # 1 are well known and supported narrations ( #1 is narrated differently though by various authorities like "we used to know the munafiqs by their hatred ofALi...etc " several sahaba have narrated it and its in Sahih muslim if im not mistaken ) of note this also occurs in honor of ansar.
2 I'm not sure of , I think Hubshi b Junada r.a narrates it but not sure of its authenticity.
