We will fight india side by side with ARMY: Taliban

Why do some people always bag on the loyalty of these people? I don't know about the taliban but these folks in the tribal belt are not a part of the army, they are common man like any Pakistani yet they make themselves available as an extension of the army whenever needed. Seriously is Pakistan just Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Rawalpindi?

We might not agree with their beliefs just like we don't agree with PPPP lies and corruptness and their should be a better way do solve the problems in Tribal areas instead of dropping bombs on them. By the way, remember the PPPP's election slogan was all about "no violence" but when Zardari smelled some green mint dollars he sold out like a POS SOB that he is.

Haven't we always used these guys? In Afghanistan, in Kashmir, in Afghanistan again etc?

Re: We will fight india side by side with ARMY: Taliban

Does India have Daisy Cutters?

Altaf bhai was not on drugs when he denounced the creation of Pakistan, or when he incited this new violence to assist India in every possible way by creating yet another problem in the southern part of the country.

altaf said that many time, I have seen it on more then one video

They have desi-cutters :D

Re: We will fight india side by side with ARMY: Taliban

lol
true. that can do damage to fingers

Re: We will fight india side by side with ARMY: Taliban

India knows it very well, If they attack Pakistan, Talibans will fight along with Pakistani Army (after all, they think Pakistan should be "Islam ka Qila". And they (India/US) don't want to see these two getting together. That's why India won't attack Pakistan. Amerika gussay ho ga. :-)

daisy cutters are just conventional explosives in massive quantities. Daisy cutters used by US in 2001 averaged 15,000 to 30,000 pounds.

Since it is based on conventional explosives, any country including India can build one. The issue at hand is less about the type of bomb and more about air superiority.

India has leap frogged ahead of Pakistan in airplanes by number and by lethality. The result was that PAF was forced to hide the planes in 1971.

Sadly in 1971 there was no MM Alam and no big advantage over Indian AF like we had back in 1965.

The situation now is more dire even compared to 1971. Kargil war proved that IAF has now mastered the high altitude laser guided bombing. And Pakistan has no answer to it.

If IAF can clear up the skies in few days, then Taliban will be sitting ducks.

Sure some people will say Pakistan can use surface to surface missiles. But that will not be done by Taliban.

So anyone who says Taliban are the game changer in a modern battlefield, they simply are living in a fool's paradise with even more foolish hooro ghilman.

7 years on they stillfight the Americans - daisy cutters and other modern weapons have not stopped them

This is why groups like taliban have support in the muslim world - they do what so called most "intellectuals" cant - they stay and fight for their land and beliefs, no matter how much you or others disagree with them.

You call them cowards but these cowards make life very difficult for a puppet government and its super power sponsor.

The problem with countries like Pakistanis all these leaders from PML, PPP, MQM, ANP will all flee if any serious trouble. The elite class will flee too. Very few upper/elite classes stay and fight.

Afghanistan is a classic example - what % of the so-called elite, leaders, intelectuals stayed and fought?

If you were in pakistan and they went to war with India woulds you stay and fight or be on the first plane out?

I hope you have a better response than calling me Taliban or Fundo or whatever you call people who disagree with you.

India has many pawns now. Some of them belonging to militant groups who are trying to destabilise what little bit there was of Pakistani law.

Re: We will fight india side by side with ARMY: Taliban

war is not good for any one. Don't forget pakistan was on binge of bankruptcy and last thing they want is war with India. IMF's loan has pre-attached conditions and they will prevent pakistan from spending billions $ more on arms.
That said I can sense few terrorist (Dawood and Azahar masood to name few) being handover to India so that India don't attack Pakistan and Indian public don't coup against politicians.
Everyone will live in peace, India goes punishing those who done crime attacking mumbai (be it 2008 or 1993) and plane hijack. Pakistan goes back to fighting Taliban and US happy with his 'war on terror' thingy..

:k:

India attack Pak, LOL, like 2002... You guys sure live in a dream world... last time you demanded 20 Indian terrorist, what happened..... Go home and have nice cup of chai biscuit.. :)

Re: We will fight india side by side with ARMY: Taliban

^too many people like you, we are sure to have a war. False bravedo isnt good. India does not want to start a war with Pakistan. Its not good for India and will be disaster for Pakistan. Finally it may even produce a lot more problems for India.

Dear Genius, it was India that brought 1 million soldiers at the border in 2002 demanding 20 Indian terrorists only to run with tail tucked bewteen the legs.. May be you should dig some old new articles instead of wasting bandwidth.

Re: We will fight india side by side with ARMY: Taliban

Rewind to 2001. After it was clear that US will retaliate for 9/11 by attacking Al-Qaida in Afghanistan, everyone here and in Pakistan wanted Taliban to cut ties with A-Q and save their people. No. Cultural traditions of protecting "guests" was deemed supreme. Al Qaida promised that they will fight "side by side" with their Taliban hosts.

Result: An already war-torn Afghanistan was further plummeled by aerial bombing, country brutally occupied by foreign forces, whatever Islamic government was set up by Taliban (regardless of how mis-guided it may be) thrown away, all Taliban leaders arrested or on the run, country fell into civil war and control of war lords. Still going through abject misery and fighting.

Moral of the story: When any terrorist moron says "I'll fight side by side with you", don't start nara-e-takbeer and jump up and down in cries of "unity". Their support will doom you. Pakistan is much better off by making a serious and meaningful effort in rooting out terrorism. Not lip servie. Not meek moves. But bold action to make life miserable for all terror outfits, their leadership, their supporters and their plans. If it means that our own security forces need to be cleaned up of moron sympathisers, that should be done as a number one priority.

Of course, we always have the alternative of doing nothing. Let Pakistan become a basket-case of failed policies, a pariah of the world for harboring terrorists and claim to be the self-professed fortress of Islam. We can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other similar leaders of other terrorism promoting havens - Sudan, Yemen, Iran and Somalia.

Time for Pakistanis and our leadership to finally make a serious choice.

Calling All Pakistanis

By THOMAS L. FRIEDMAN
Published: December 2, 2008
On Feb. 6, 2006, three Pakistanis died in Peshawar and Lahore during violent street protests against Danish cartoons that had satirized the Prophet Muhammad. More such mass protests followed weeks later. When Pakistanis and other Muslims are willing to take to the streets, even suffer death, to protest an insulting cartoon published in Denmark, is it fair to ask: Who in the Muslim world, who in Pakistan, is ready to take to the streets to protest the mass murders of real people, not cartoon characters, right next door in Mumbai?

After all, if 10 young Indians from a splinter wing of the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party traveled by boat to Pakistan, shot up two hotels in Karachi and the central train station, killed at least 173 people, and then, for good measure, murdered the imam and his wife at a Saudi-financed mosque while they were cradling their 2-year-old son — purely because they were Sunni Muslims — where would we be today? The entire Muslim world would be aflame and in the streets.
So what can we expect from Pakistan and the wider Muslim world after Mumbai? India says its interrogation of the surviving terrorist indicates that all 10 men come from the Pakistani port of Karachi, and at least one, if not all 10, were Pakistani nationals.
First of all, it seems to me that the Pakistani government, which is extremely weak to begin with, has been taking this mass murder very seriously, and, for now, no official connection between the terrorists and elements of the Pakistani security services has been uncovered.
At the same time, any reading of the Pakistani English-language press reveals Pakistani voices expressing real anguish and horror over this incident. Take for instance the Inter Press Service news agency article of Nov. 29 from Karachi: “ ‘I feel a great fear that [the Mumbai violence] will adversely affect Pakistan and India relations,’ the prominent Karachi-based feminist poet and writer Attiya Dawood told I.P.S. ‘I can’t say whether Pakistan is involved or not, but whoever is involved, it is not the ordinary people of Pakistan, like myself, or my daughters. We are with our Indian brothers and sisters in their pain and sorrow.’ ”
But while the Pakistani government’s sober response is important, and the sincere expressions of outrage by individual Pakistanis are critical, I am still hoping for more. I am still hoping — just once — for that mass demonstration of “ordinary people” against the Mumbai bombers, not for my sake, not for India’s sake, but for Pakistan’s sake.
Why? Because it takes a village. The best defense against this kind of murderous violence is to limit the pool of recruits, and the only way to do that is for the home society to isolate, condemn and denounce publicly and repeatedly the murderers — and not amplify, ignore, glorify, justify or “explain” their activities.
Sure, better intelligence is important. And, yes, better SWAT teams are critical to defeating the perpetrators quickly before they can do much damage. But at the end of the day, terrorists often are just acting on what they sense the majority really wants but doesn’t dare do or say. That is why the most powerful deterrent to their behavior is when the community as a whole says: “No more. What you have done in murdering defenseless men, women and children has brought shame on us and on you.”
Why should Pakistanis do that? Because you can’t have a healthy society that tolerates in any way its own sons going into a modern city, anywhere, and just murdering everyone in sight — including some 40 other Muslims — in a suicide-murder operation, without even bothering to leave a note. Because the act was their note, and destroying just to destroy was their goal. If you do that with enemies abroad, you will do that with enemies at home and destroy your own society in the process.
“I often make the comparison to Catholics during the pedophile priest scandal,” a Muslim woman friend wrote me. “Those Catholics that left the church or spoke out against the church were not trying to prove to anyone that they are anti-pedophile. Nor were they apologizing for Catholics, or trying to make the point that this is not Catholicism to the non-Catholic world. They spoke out because they wanted to influence the church. They wanted to fix a terrible problem” in their own religious community.
We know from the Danish cartoons affair that Pakistanis and other Muslims know how to mobilize quickly to express their heartfelt feelings, not just as individuals, but as a powerful collective. That is what is needed here.
Because, I repeat, this kind of murderous violence only stops when the village — all the good people in Pakistan, including the community elders and spiritual leaders who want a decent future for their country — declares, as a collective, that those who carry out such murders are shameful unbelievers who will not dance with virgins in heaven but burn in hell. And they do it with the same vehemence with which they denounce Danish cartoons.
Maureen Dowd is off today.

And this is relevant to taliban beheaders fighting alongside army how?

Bravo! Well said sir. But it is the nihilistic mentality of the mullahs and their sympathizers as evidenced by members even here which says that as long as even one "kafir" dies, it is ok for all of Pakistan to burn and turn into Somalia or Afghanistan. This is the same type of hate filled revenge mindset that was also the driving force behind the mumbai attackers, where barbaric violence is the answer to all problems.

Our fate is clear and well deserved if God forbid we decide to fight "shoulder to shoulder" with creatures from the dark ages: taliban
