Re: We stand by you

Bhai, let me try to translate the couplet as much as I can according to what I understand (from my deficient knowledge of Punjabi). Hope it would help. I hope that my translation is close to what is in this couplet. If wrong, hopefully someone would correct me. This couplet is regarding fauji jawaan (quam kay baitay).

I dont know .. i though it is hathtan or hand .. but you are rigth, it is hattan and thus should have been dukaan ... I will correct my translation :). I would not mind if you like to delete my post and put more accurate translation :)

Re: We stand by you

You are welcome brother :)

Re: We stand by you

very true...

our army as a whole is a sincere institution and every jawan of the army is there for the country when needed. Corruption, unfortunately, occurs at the top level.

At one stage, Musharraf lead the army to the higher grounds in Kashmir during Nawaz govt. later, took over the govt. itself and then he was "wick gaya" with the threat of Richard Armatage as he reveals himself in his book.

Go to to Colonel and Captain level and you will find the religious element quite evident in our army and why not? It's an army of an Islamic Republic.

Sad thing is that, it is on the record when Musharraf visited White house, he was quoted in media (video footage was aired in Pakistan live as well) while with a glass in a hand and dancing: "This is not a soft drink!"

Beat that.

Re: We stand by you

I would take a person who allegedly drinks anyday over the type of people who sympathise with terrorist hostage takers.

who knows, mayeb he was joking, maybe he was drinking. who cares.

Re: We stand by you

He becomes non-eligible to be a president as per constitution article 62/63 based on that footage alone as was discussed in Capital Talk :)

Re: We stand by you

prove without reasonable doubt that what he was drinking was alcoholic and we will go from there.

anyways this thread is more about the success of teh state in dealing with low life thugs chest thumping banner waving book banging histage taking lying sacks of shyt known as the ghazi biradraan, cowardly pathetic egotistical selfish crminal fools who decided to blackmail an entire nation...

well one is dead, shot by his own pals, and the other one in probably being tortured to get info on comings and goings of other terrorists, as we speak.

I'd drink to that.

Re: We stand by you

Thanks.

Let's keep the religious stuff out of this discussion. Our brave soldiers died while fighting Malla-fascists. Any mixing of religion with state will result in this kind of blind clerics to take unfair advantage of the situations.

Re: We stand by you

sure :)
I only initially responded to the "Vikday" part.
I meant no harm anyway; just wanted to keep things in perspective. It's one of my favorites songs as well available on Youtube.

Re: We stand by you

hats off to the Pak Army :Salute:

Re: We stand by you

hmm

just heard the side of some supporters of the "terrorists" and they make it seem as if they were so "masoom" and how cruel the gov was. bad musharraf.

Re: We stand by you

Maybe it was cordial mixed with water from a hard water area, and he was refering to that? :D

Re: We stand by you

:salute:

The original video from 1965 is soo deeply moving!

Re: We stand by you

It was reported somewhere that Captain Faisal Lodhi of the SSG Zarrar (AT) Company had reached the Lal Masjid among the fresh reinforcements that arrived on the early morning of 10 July. He embraced Shahadat serving his service, his country, his people, and trying to save the innocent people held. He had been married 10 months ago. He became immortal!
