We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

No Muniya,
My ammi used to do that. She would get me to tally up all the interest that she received on funds in her savings accounts and then would send that off to the needy in Pakistan.

That was well and good for addressing the "taking interest" part of the rule. It does not address or make up for the "giving interest" part.

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

And why the hell is it any of your business?

Re: We Don’t Like Haram Stuff?

I meant in your US tax return

Re: We Don’t Like Haram Stuff?

Yes it is, because you are encouraging it  I suggest you pack up ur crap and go sleep in the train station. Just make sure theres no drugs dealt there, noone going on dates , no unmarried pregnant women etc.. coz u kno u dun wanna be part of sin :halo:

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

sugar coating! paying a premium means paying a price for your money! and that is the exact definition of interest!

my hair is not a hijaab even if it is covering my head:D

same with "premium" it's an interest!

Re: We Don’t Like Haram Stuff?

depending on many factors such as your income, deductions etc, you can claim a deduction, but that is really not the same as getting interest back. you pay lesser amount of taxes than you would if you had not claimed the deduction.

There is always the Alternative Minimum Tax monster that one has to wrestle with as well.

Re: We Don’t Like Haram Stuff?

I know a family living in toronto who hasnt bought a house for 18 years ..cuz they are still saving up money cuz they dont want to pay “INTEREST” ..but yet they do eat outside from mcdonalds…pull car insurance scams …try to save money by scamming the system etc… Anyhow… I personaly think that INTEREST WAS considered haraam back in dayz because the rich use to lend money/property to the poor with high interest. Its good to lend someone money withouth receving interest …But Today things are different, and we look at things from different prospectives.

Even some Islamic banks that i have visited it turns out to be the same thing..they said if i buy a house through them for like 200,000 ..then they would just increase the price to 220,000 and id buy it off them for that price. Meaning they do still collect up some sorta interest…but its just a different way to look at things.

Honestly, i can careless about paying interesting…i think taking interest from poor is haraam and when i take interest from bank…thats business and it shouldnt be labelled as haraam. To all u mullah who might think that i am wrong..u can K*ss my a** …and stop judging people and let allah be the judge ..dont be a hater!

Re: We Don’t Like Haram Stuff?

kiddo you better stick to CAFE :hoonh:ider cafe wali dialogue bazzi nahi chalti:)

Re: We Don’t Like Haram Stuff?

Nazoo, good point…Islam has become a religion of convenience…We can discard Ahadith if they don’t suit our mentalities and yet adopt absolutely unIslamic behaviour if we can find a shred to support out views…

Muslims have become marginal followers of Islam…

Forget the Halal and Haram stuff…Ask Muslims how many times do they pray in a day?

Deliberately missing a prayer is worse for a Muslim than eating pork or dealing in interest…

If a person can forfeit his Salat, do you honestly believe he cares how he earns his living and what he eats or what he does?

But God forbid should any Haram enter the mouth…

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

^ Agar Lajaba nahi hota, tau Gupshup ke pakkay musalman tau depression mein chalay jaatay.

Lajwab says: "Ask Muslims how many times do they pray in a day?". Yes, we should keep asking other muslims how many times do they pray, and pay interest and eat haram. Asking others about what they do is what we do best. Good job!

Re: We Don’t Like Haram Stuff?

Why, is asking Haram? Is it covered under freedom of expression?

If not, then ask yourself that…

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

ya; we should try and implement Islam in all;

but because one is paying interest on a mortgage; does not at all mean he should start eating haram aswell!!!

now we have all these halal mortgages etc aswell; but where buying a house and paying interest becomes a majboori;
okay they're would be gunaah; but that doesnt mean if the same person refuses to eat haram food, he's got dual personality/hypocrisy or watever

thats wrong

rather it a good thing that he has not lost it all

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

let me talk about myself; ive got balances on credit cards(for watever reasons) ; im paying interest on them; i know its haraam; and i'll get rid of them as soon as i can!

but i dont stop asking for halal food/doing other good cuz im doing another gunah!

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

lol I am studying my medicine with loans. I am not a daughter of richie rich to pay off my tuition for med school. Instead of judging myself or someone else ...I rather leave it upto Allah..He knows better! :)

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

I don't like hypocrites.

Re: We Don’t Like Haram Stuff?

It’s tax deductible in most cases, but you don’t get it back.

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

Nazoo is that not why we'll never move on? For often we are much concerned with the way others are lead their lives instead of focusing on the betterment of ourselves.

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

GOOD point!!

Re: We Don’t Like Haram Stuff?

who does?

Re: We Don't Like Haram Stuff?

So the moral of the story is, next time when we go to McyDees or are flying, we should'nt bother asking if the food is halal or haraam...We should just eat it...
