sri lanka all the way for me...they bring a pasison into the game as compared the australians cold, clinical efficiency...(its scary as to how good they are, atleast the lankans are more human)

i seriously wouldnt mind jayasuria beaking saeed anwars 194, if thats what it will take for the aussies to lose...as i said b4 the world cup...ANYONE but the aussies and indians...

Interestingly, the only person with a team in the top 10 positions of the Fantacy Game that have more confidence in the Sri Lankan than the Aussies, is Zabardast. All the rest state with their mind for an Aussie triumph - no matter what they state here!

Only Zabardast has more SL players in his group than Aussies.

Certainly if the Lankans win tomorrow, it will be a collosal upset in cricket today.
SL have to produce an *omph *or two to get it though.

not sure if I would use that word. SLA are no minnows and are deserving finalists. Will be an upset for sure if they win though not on the same scale as India's shock win over the mighty Windies in 1983 WC Final

Although Australian batting and bowling and fielding are as ordinary as any other team...but the tricky point is that for the last 2 decades or so...they have mastered engineering matches...like Aussies talking in the dressing room who (the bowler) will take on the opponent's batsman and at what time on which trick...the Aussie batsmen would talk about where and when to hit a certain bowler of the opposing team...like first hitting the bad balls only...and then slowly hitting gradually while still saving wickets...more wickets in the bank...hit harder... :)

Australia has played all of their players in this tournament. If it was some other team, they would have rest their old players with some excuses. I had respect of Lanka, but the way they took the game against Australia in Super 8 lost all the value.

Australia all the way. It is great and should be a slap on every other team, which picks and chooses. I want them to trash Sri Lanka and make a point, which says;

  • If you want to win World Cup, take every game seriously.
  • If you want to win World Cup, show up every time for your team.
  • If you want to win the World Cup, commit to your team once and for all.
  • If you want to win the World Cup, play like Champions and do not make any excuses for loss, injuries or any other factor.

Australia came in this World Cup without Brett Lee and not once his absence was felt. This team deserves all the victories and appluase, they have done this sport a favor. They have played this game for last decade the way it should be played.
