But atleast they have given a good account of themselves with the bat unlike Pakistan and India who shamed themselves in 1999 and 2003 Finals

The problem with D/L is that SL are batting according to it as the possibility looms. It means they start to throw cautions to the wind. If it does not start raining, they might have lost a wicket or two unneccesary which they require at the end of their innings.
The final should not in any way be dependable on D/L. Screw the media and advertisers. Play a full 50/50 match.

they have spent millions of dollors, WC lasted a Very Long time... and if they decide to end the world cup with D/L method then its a shame, they should have reserve day at any cost regardless of how many overs are left.!

Ranjit Fernando has just come up with another howler on TV, his 532nd of the competition, claiming Sri Lanka won the World Cup in 1996 on Duckworth-Lewis. Even Botham sounded as if he had had enough .
