What was Gilly carrying in his glove?
Contacts NASA ... hubble telescope moved to Gilli's batting and zooming on his gloves and the verdict is......"Pure talent" and he played heck of an innings.

He disallowed a run to Clarke because he ostensibly ran on the pitch.
Ponting was warned about the same before...but it was Clarke who got punished for his first offense.
Turns out that it was as per the laws of the game.

7.42 is a difficult run-rate when it has to be maintained over 50 overs. It's easier to do in 40 overs, even easier in 30, and even easier in 20 overs (this is why the usual runrate in 20/20 is 10+).

He had small squash or something put inside his gloves to correct some technical issue with his grip. Ofcourse it worked. That is what he was showing when he scored 100.

Do you think that a team chasing 330 in 50 over game is 49 for no loss after 12 overs. Would you consider that game is lost for the side making 49 for no loss after 12 overs? That is the position of SL at present.
Re: WC2007 Final: SL v AUS
I have always maintained that Australia holds the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in world rankings....they have automated the game of cricket in a way no team has....and their brutal perfformance in this WC has proved me right.
Wonder what Saby has to say about this now....
Re: WC2007 Final: SL v AUS
SL started with a four......... :D
4/0
Re: WC2007 Final: SL v AUS
that was nice start. 4 on first ball by SL.
Reminds me of start of India while chasing 353 in last world.
We know what followed next.

Imagine Tait, Lee and Johnson in one team... and this is the future team of AUS.
Re: WC2007 Final: SL v AUS
