Thanks Bilal. Keep them coming.

I think these first class South African teams should play the World Cup among themselves. They are giving a good fight to all the teams.

England beat Border by 8 wickets

Border 202 all out
England 203/2

Knight 81 not out.

there may be some mistakes in the scores....cricinfo facing technical problems!

India have lost by 33 runs

** Kwa Zulu Natal beat India by 32 runs**

Kwa Zulu Natal 190
India 158.

Time for India to wake up. Must be a demoralising defeat just before the tournament.

where is Moin Khan
he should have been part of the squad.....Latif hasnt been impressive with the bat

Some of us have been shouting this for the last few months. A proven World Cup champ who had delivered time and again in the past when the chips are down - you would think it makes sense wouldn't you?

I have always been a proponent of Latif for Tests and Moin for One-Days.

my sentiments as well. Rashid is not a one day player.

Pakistan and India both lost their last warmup games. Both were kind of low scoring games. India was unable to chase 190, Pakistan unable to chase 215. :nook:

Australia and England won their matches while India and Pakistan lost theirs. Poor show.

Wake up call for Pakistan as well.

Inzi and Yoyo still struggling.
Afridi put up a good show but was dropped twice.
Rashid disappointing.
Slow over rate cost them four overs.
Overall a poor show.

Khair hai, i m not worried about it.... I thought they will make it but Wasim's run out made the difference.... And people calm down, EC hasnt even started yet :)... Bad performace nonetheless.... Disappoinemtns from Inzi, Yousuf , Latif and Taufeeq. Its just early days though, no point in imagining "could have been's" yet. Latif or Moin, needs to perform, Lets hope it was only a blip, rather then the habit :)

A lot rests on Inzimam's and Yoyo's shoulders. It would be nice if they were showing some form going in to these matches.

yeppp.. Younis's excellent form in warm-up mactehs would ahve been additional bonus had Inzi and Yoyo showed decent form.

Pakistan up to old tricks in loss in practice match

Pakistan lost today in their practice match against Easterns by 26 runs. They made all the mistakes we attach with Pakistan cricket. First, they gave up 40 extras. Second, they dropped catches and gave away easy singles. Third, their opening failed. Fourth, middle order didn't support. Fifth, they proved they cannot chase anything (215 is obtainable). Sixth, they were docked four overs for a slow bowling rate. In sum, everything they do when they lose. I would advise our fans to keep their hopes at a minimum based on what I've seen.

By the way, Australia successfully chased 275 with five wickets to spare.

Well done.

I see Saqy wasn't playing. You guys think he might be dropped for the opening game?

btw, are those figures right for Akram? 8 runs off 5 overs?

i had high hopes.....but now i realize that the great fairwell was a waste!
why treat them like national heroes when they cant chase 215 against a local team
