You can not convert to Judaism. Its not allowed in the faith. Additionally you are only a Jew if your mother was one. The faith comes from the Mother and not the father.

That's BS.
One can convert to Judaism.
The faith doesn't come from the mother. What you are talking about is the ethnicity. If your mother is Jewish you are considered a full Jew i.e. you are Jewish ethnicity wise. If your mother is not a Jew, but your dad is, one is considered a half Jew.
AlexB is an atheist who is only Jewish by ethnicity.
CR, you will not be fully accepted by the Jewish community. They might tell you other wise, but you will find out after converting. You can also look up on the internet how black Jews are treated by their fellow white Jews and you'll know what I mean.
Most of the Jews today are the descendants of Eastern European/Central Asian Jews who converted to Judaism.
CP- Jewish forum wont be any help as I need assistance in this particular region. If I wanted to come to Christianity, then there is guidance in abundance here. There are lots of beautiful churches around. and missions at work. They would embrace me and teach me each and everything needed to become a true catholic.
Is there any synagogue in 1000 mile of radius where i live ? Closest destination would be Iran. Will they guide me through internet or apoint a Rabbi to teach me long list of teaching of jewish faith.
As far as i have come across on internet accepting jewish faith has long and complicated list of requirement. Do they come out for preaching their beautiful faith to non-jews like muslims and Christians do rigorously ?
I am seriously interested in Judaism and I want to know exactly how long i have to practice this faith and then I will be welcomed in holy Jewish State of Israel as a Jewish setler.
For instance, A converting muslim needs to update his CNIC , Passport and other official pappers and then wait for 5 years and then he can apply for Haj or visit to holy places as muslim.
I doubt Israeli laws would be as simple. What exactly is their requirement. I change my document and move to Jordon they would they allow me to enter Israel ?

Jews don't aim to win converts. So no, they don't do that.
So you don't even know anything about Judaism, but want to convert to it? All just so that you can move to Israel? LOL
You could live in Israel without converting, but I guess this thread isn't meant to be serious anyway. So yeah...

if its only to settle in Israel, you have an easy way... and that is, become a Qadiayni (God forbid), and you can then move to Israel and live in your very own qadiani community in Kababir, near Haifa. You can then also serve in IDF.
This is not a joke thread … it is a ‘test’ thread, to see how we react. Well the honest thing is that Judaism is a beautiful religion, but the fact that I have doubts about your ‘interest’ in it is when you mentioned the name ‘Israel’.
Israel has absolutely nothing to do with Judiasm, except that it occupies the land of the decendents of the Jewish tribes of history. It is a politically established boundary and you should really be calling it Palestine. The best examples of Jews I have seen are the Orthodox and they have many more requirements than Muslims to follow. So if you find Islam difficult then Judaism is more so. You must eat less things since more things are haram to eat in Judaism than in Islam.
Alternatively if it is the organisation and internal charity that you like about them there are Muslim organisations that achieve such levels of brotherhood and structure, but you will need to consider learning about Tasuwwuf and joining a traditional following.
I am only interested in knowing the way to be considered, accepted and treated as a Jew and proper documented acknowledgement. And the procedure and time line to achieve that target.
I am not asking for easy way of conversion. My concerns are if I follow the lengthy procedure then by the end of time will I be considered first class jew ? with full rights
well, then someone who's ready to change his belief only to be "considered first class" of any other religion "with full rights" do not really deserve to be "first class" any way
Most Jews are nice people who love their faith and humanity. On the same note Jews living in Israel are not evil. They are settler who came from here to stay for good. They have all the right to do so. It is their holy land. Same way It is for Christains and Muslims. They all should live there in peace.
I respect all religions. There are good and bad people everywhere.
depends on the type of judaism you want to convert to. some strands, like CM says, you'd need your mom to be a jew (and she would have the same criterion for acceptance) and its a little too late for that.
