In a bikini wax your genitalia is covered.
And this isn't the religious forum. Keep that shtick where it belongs mmkay?

^ why are u being so harsh ?
the person who asked the question, can take it (the answer) or leave it...its between fazeelat and PSquared...
if u couldnt really help but point out, u could have just nicely stated " i think whether its allowed in islam or not, can be discussed more effectively in another forum such as the religion forum"

The statement in question wasn't relevant nor appropriate in the conversation. However, I was not harsh. If I wanted to be harsh, it would have been very obvious.
Don't be hatin' on yiddish and Mr. Mackey!
(If you don't get the reference... disregard :) )
(And her statement was very misleading. You don't show your actual crotch during a bikini wax. So it wasn't only irrelevant, it was just plain WRONG).
^ Actually even between women your "awrah" [what you need to keep covered] is between the naval and the knee, so wearing an underwear doesnt make it ok Islamically speaking. I know this isnt the religion forum, but PSquared asked a question and it is related to waxing so....
Anyways, whats the difference between cold wax and hot wax? I buy cold wax but I need to heat it up in the microwave before using, hence making it hot. I never understood the difference
Re: Waxing at home - Best wax brand to buy?
You guys are awesome! Thanks for help
hmm good question...i guess the difference is in strength/effectiveness....hot ones being more strong i guess... but dont know for sure...others may clarify it ...
there are some cold waxes, which dont need to be heated up...they can just be spread over the body, and work with the body temperature....

Fazeelat, that is the answer I was looking for.
Thank you.

I guess it was my mistake to pose the question in this forum. It was a yes or no question, I didnt think it deserved a separate thread on its own.
My apologies ladies...
Since i have invested in a wax warmer, my life has been SOOO much easier. I have the GiGi brand warmer and i use the same brand wax. Its easily avalible in the US, and i get mine at Sally Beauty Supply.
hey that sounds gud, is it possible to get GIGI Warmer & wax in pak, if yes from where perticular place i can get it in khi ? I am planning to invest in Epilator as well , can anyone tell me which brand Epilator wud b best??
i like both veet and nair ready to use wax strips. the nair ones smell really good, and the veet one leaves my skin really soft. the sally hansen wax strips (clear ones) rip out the hair but don’t leave the skin as exfoliated and smooth but my sis says they are the least painful. weirdly enough, i don’t get any pain from waxing. i’ve also tried parissa strips which stick super well and even worked on my brother’s toe but they are expensive. so i guess my fave is the veet.
i’m thinking about the gigi brazilian body wax..i love bein smooth and it has really good reviews on amazon Amazon.com: GIGI Brazillian Body Hard Wax: Health & Personal Care
^ are u going to order it online?
does any drug store, or beauty supply store in the US sell gigi wax and wax warmer???
would really like to know if we can buy this in person from a store, or is ordering online the only option???
Re: Waxing at home - Best wax brand to buy?
I too am a proud owner of the GIGI line...warmer, spatulas, muslin etc!!! its the best..and it so much easier to do waxing at home....went to get brazilian done a couple of times..observed it..then tried it at home...a couple of times it was a challenge...now its awesome!!! believe me it is such a relief to do it yourself.......learn learn learn......you will be so thankful later!!

Re: Waxing at home - Best wax brand to buy?
I do my own wax (even make my own sugar wax) of my legs and arms and never had I had any ripping of skin or whatever. I think i can do it better than then so called beauticians. The only parts that are hard to reach are the back of the legs and upper arms, but then I dont have much there so its goo for me to do it at home, save money and the hassle of going somewhere :)
Re: Waxing at home - Best wax brand to buy?
amnaar, i mentioned on the previous page that sally beauty supply stores carry them in the US.
I prefer making it at home as well, I can control the temperture etc love it!

How do you make your own wax? And how to use it?
Halawa:
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
You cook it over slow flame till the mixture is slightly ambre in color then u remove it from the heat and let it cool for about 15 mins and use just how u'd use regular wax!
