why is so?
its not only me saw my couisns, friends having same problem etc
cnat brid e look her age in bridal look?
it actually matters who did ur make up. and dark colors give u a sharp look which makes one look older. one should always work around each individual's features and not only the color of the dress and jewellery.
U know what I hate even more is when an innocent looking 18-21 year-old girl ends up looking like an Akhbar-e-Jehan model...almost like a hoochie mama...you know what I mean. That's so not the look any girl should be going for on her wedding day.
It's because bridal make-up tends to be very dramatic and heavy.
If you told your MUA to do a more natural look (just play up your features more but not do the overly dramatic stuff) you would look beautiful, and more your age.
It's just that many people think that 'bridal' = heavy makeup, so thats why the tendency to look older.
makeup doesn't necessarily make you look older, infact, it makes hundreds of celebrities look younger than they really are. if you look older with makeup, then the makeup is obviously too heavy or then the style of makeup just isn't right for you.
i think it happens coz the bride herself doesnt know what colours suit her and what dont. if natural suits u, go for that. if heavy makeup suits u, go for that instead. be proactive with ur MUA.
alhamdulillah when my makeup was done, it was done perfectly. i didnt look older or younger, and looked just my age.
the solution was i told them exactly what it was that i wanted, which i decided based on what suits me and what would go with the colours i was wearing.
take your own products, the ones that are already tried and tested..fool proof....which you KNOW wont make you look old!
nothing special about their makeup...you can get plenty of great products that makeup artists use to keep the makeup fresh and put.
do trials at home...play with colors and take pictures...do trial and error at home...make a list..and cross out the looks/colors that dont suit you.....
if you do your homework....you will not be clueless at the salon!! have consultations with the makeup artist...and discuss your inhibitions..tell them what you want..and show them pics of what looks good on you...work together...
Makeup should enhance your looks not make you look 5 years older.
Very dark and heavy makeup can add years, but then natural makeup is doesn't always look good in photos.
^that's why they are models...and most models are older than actual bride and heavier makeup suits them. also many models are not actually pretty- but it's their features which makes them suitable to be a model. They are suppose to be like a perfect based- which is why they r super skinny and makeup suits them very well
