Punjabis aren’t all the same either, Mirpuris are the same Potohari people who are subset of Punjabis, much like Seraikis and Hindkowans, all the dialects are somewhat intelligible between each other and all these people live in the Land of 5 Rivers(Punjab)

I am aware the differences as I come from a Pothwari-speaking family from Northern Punjab. I just wondered what you meant when you said they speak differently, as compared to what? Punjabi? Cause Pothwari(=Pahari=Mirpuri) is as far as I know still a dialect of Punjabi.

They speak differently as compared to Punjabi Urdu etc. Different dialect. That wasn’t an insult to them. It was just pointing out a difference. Like how they cook.

Different dialect of the same language basically.

They speak differently, of course. But their language is not incomprehensible to Punjabi speakers and Mirpuris/Potohari speakers can understand standard Punjabi absolutely fine. If we are just talking about differences than Faisalabadi speaks slightly different Punjabi from Lahories.

Urdu - “Yeh dekhlo”
Mirpuri - “Ah tako”
