Watch out, you might be next.

Is it just me or does anyone else think a lot of people will be able to abuse such new ideas Britian is coming up with?

CAIRO, August 28, 2005 (IslamOnline.net) – Britain has drawn up a list of 50 “preachers of hate” seen as posing a threat to the national security who will be deport under the new controversial behavior guidelines, British newspapers reported Sunday, August 28.

“Immigration officers and police officers will turn up at their doors and these people will be taken away and detained pending removal,” a senior Home Office source told the Sunday Express.

“When or if they can be deported depends on where they are from,” he added.

“Officials are literally going through a whole bunch of names and seeing what their status is and whether we can get shot of them.”

British Home Secretary Charles Clarke unveiled on August, 24, news guidelines of “unacceptable behavior” under which the government can deport and ban Muslim scholars accused of fomenting, justifying and glorifying acts of terror and violence.

The banned views include those conveyed through written or published material, including Web sites, as well as public speaking.

The new guidelines are part of the anti-terror measures taken in the wake of the July 7 London attacks, which were carried out by four Muslims, including three British-born.

The sizable Muslim minority has decried the new “draconian” guidelines as too vague, warning they could further fan Islamophobia in Britain .

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

Nothing new ... I think Italy has already identified a few hundred to be deported - I think it's Italy - about 50 of them are Pakistanis being put into a PIA flight to Islamabad very shortly...reason is illegal immigration

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

Welcome to the new fascism. Orwell as so right. Freedom of speech is great as long as you aren't a certain skin color or religion.

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

Non-UK citizens in Britain must abide the following or may be deported. (actual list is after statement #7.)

EXCLUSION OR DEPORTATION FROM THE UK ON NON-CONDUCIVE
GROUNDS: CONSULTATION DOCUMENT

  1. The Home Secretary has powers to exclude or deport non-UK
citizens on the grounds that their presence in the UK is not conducive to
    the public good.

  2. These powers apply both to those who are not yet in the UK
(exclusions) and to those who have temporary or indefinite leave to
    remain in the UK (deportation).

  3. The Home Secretary must and will act consistently, proportionately
and reasonably in applying these powers, having regard to the importance
    of upholding UK values.

  4. Where the Home Secretary is personally applying these powers to
exclude, there is no statutory right of appeal although his decision can be
challenged through judicial review. Where he is applying these powers to
deport, or where other Home Office Ministers or Immigration or Entry
Clearance Officers are applying them on his behalf to exclude or deport,
there is a right of appeal.

  5. As a general rule these powers have been exercised in the past
against those the Government considers represent a direct threat to:-
    • National security
    • Public order or the rule of law in the UK
    • Or the UK’s good relations with a third country
and against those who were involved or, the Government has reason to
suspect were involved, in war crimes or crimes against humanity
    regardless of whether convicted

  6. The Home Secretary announced on 20 July that he would broaden
the exercise of these powers to deal more fully and systematically with
those who in effect, represent an indirect threat under the same
categories, in particular those who foment terrorism or seek to provoke
    others to terrorist acts.

  7. Because of the need to tread very carefully in areas which relate to
free speech, the Home Secretary announced that he would consult on a
list of unacceptable behaviours which demonstrate such an indirect threat.
This list is indicative not exhaustive and is set out below.

List of Unacceptable Behaviours
The list of unacceptable behaviours covers any non-UK citizen whether in
the UK or abroad who uses any means or medium including:-

**Writing, producing, publishing or distributing material **

**Public speaking including preaching **

**Running a website **

**Using a position of responsibility such as teacher, community or youth **
**leader **

**To express views which the Government considers:- **

**• Foment terrorism or seek to provoke others to terrorist acts **

**• Justify or glorify terrorism and those who express what the Government considers to be extreme views that are in conflict with the UK’s culture of tolerance **

**• Foment other serious criminal activity or seek to provoke others to **
**serious criminal acts **

• Foster hatred which may lead to intra community violence in the UK

**• Advocate violence in furtherance of particular beliefs **

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

Beautiful. Does the same apply to dissident who preach anti-govt sentiments? Is Pakistan going to get back its terrorists who have been hiding at the UK govt expense in the UK?

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

^ hey, for services rendered, shouldn't you fly them 1st class in PIA?

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

Sure the brits can foot the bill.

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

//Welcome to the new fascism. Orwell as so right. Freedom of speech is great as long as you aren't a certain skin color or religion.
//
When the brits do something to take care of their rights, these idiots run around saying that there is no freedom of speech. When people cant even open their mouths in the so called islamic countries, that is because it violates the religious principle

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

Tell me this Rashguy. In The UK you have neo-nazis that can practice in freedom. You have racists. You have people the Pakistani govt considers terrorists. But these people are not touched. Why?

Now you are comparing the UK to Saudi. I thought you lot were "civilized". Btw didn't they use the same "civilized" arguement in the case of slavery and colonialism?

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

//Now you are comparing the UK to Saudi. I thought you lot were "civilized".//

Are you saying that you consider yourself uncivilized !!!
//Btw didn't they use the same "civilized" arguement in the case of slavery and colonialism?

//
In which religion is slavery still accepted....

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

LOL. Ignore all the important points. Typical.

No you consider us uncivilized as we are not white. It is pretty obvious from your posts.

So you want to continue with my post are you selectively retarded?

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

these people are NOT names they pulled out of a hat
these people have been identified to the police etc by MUSLIMS ...yep let me say that again MUSLIMS who were not comfortable with what they were saying.... these guys were then investigated ....for years most of them for about five years at least.

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

LD yeah yeah yeah yeah. Show me the news article saying that? Show me the proof they are using. We already know about you brits and your police service.

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

you are very naive...what makes you think i get my news from secondary sources

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

The fact that you have not mentioned reputed newspaper and such an article. No the mirror is not a reputed news source. Can i see the source for your claim?

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

nope...i CANNOT SHOW you the source.

and just a little note, Reputed newspapers are not always correct in what they write...

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

Good. About that damn time the Brits got their act together. Deportation is nothing for these hateful leechers. They should be lynched.

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

This is even more problematic. As a society, we (desis/muslims/etc) are champions of pulling our own people down. You can easily expect people with personal grudges and vendattas pointing out their foes to get rid of them. The whole freedom of speech thing is getting pretty disorieted now.

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

^ as long as you have the mantra of us vs. them then you will continue to lose in a polyglotic setting. "champions of pulling our own people down?"... our own people are white, black, jews, christian, hindus, sikhs, chinese, guatemalans, pakis, muslims...all of them are our people. muslims are not that special...only among themselves.

Re: Watch out, you might be next.

As always... completely missed the point.
