As you know, or should know, Army controls Pakistan. They would not have let Mujeeb come to power whether Bhutto was there or not. It is Bhutto who saved 1 lakh soldiers who previously bragged they would ‘fight to the death’.

hmm now tell me who playedd the major role in taking them to war and then handing them over to India as POW’s
who tore the UN resolution for a political solution in the UN assembly when whole Eastern Command was begging for face saving agreement.

Btw I just read an interesting article from a book called “Fauji raaj kay das baras” by some Gohar something. and that particular article was about the 65 war and wat role ZAB and FO Aziz played in all that period.
plzz do read that to enlighten ur knowledge abt ZAB.

Z A Bhutto was teh greatest thing happened to Pakistan.. he did wonders.. a gift of Atomic Bomb to such a poor country.. creating a muslim block.. giving poor a respect and many others..

Ali Anzar ur hate ignored so mnay other things like.. Bhutto was never kicked out by Ayub but left govt by himself after 65 agreement by Ayub.. there was no constitution so elections were held to agree on one but Mujeeb preplanned 6 points ruined it all.. further Bhutto had nothing to do with 71 war and oppression of Bengalis as he was nor in power but was in jail!!! army crushing of Bengalis when Bhutto was not in power was the main reason for fall of Dhaka.. ur analysis looks to be taken out of Zia's dark age propagada..

He did more to ruin it. Profitable businesses were nationalised and brought to ruin during Bhutto’s rule. He single handedly managed to torpedo an economy that prior to his rule was hailed as a role model for developing countries.

Was aslo the only “civilian” marshall law administrator on the planet.

Can u plaese explain how did that happened!!! He left govt in 1965 and wasnt on the govt till 1971.. for 6 years army repressed bengalis and lost a war.. how did he worked with army to break a country?

Zulfi Bhutto was one of the greatest leaders of Pakistan, and was a true patriot. He brought all the political parties together to agree the 1973 constitution, gave the majority (poor people) a say for the first time, he crushed the rebellion in Balochistan and Afghan-supported NAP to hold Pakistan together (not split it like you people are arguing), he forged excellent relations with Iran and palyed a leading role in bringing the Muslim world together under the OIC. The list of his achievments go on.

One of the greatest achievemnet wa sthe 1973-7 was the only period in the life of Pakistan when it wasnt in USA influence.. his defience is remarkable against so much pressure againt nuclear issue - one of the worst intellegence failure of CIA..
Most Pakistanis love Z A Bhutto and even in last general elections PPP got highest no of votes.. a testament of trust that paksitanis have in Z A Bhutto. why would majority still love a traitor.. why would even his opponent leaders still regard him greatest leader?

He had his drawbacks but he was more gifted and more intelligent than any other politician Pakistan has had. We tend to take the army line of holding him responsible for the breakup of Pakistan. He was not in power, the army was and I am sure they took the final decisions, pathetic ones at that.

After the debacle of 71, he was the one who led the country back from the brink and gave the nation a new purpose. He was the one who gave Pakistan a nuclear deterrent. Hardly an act of a traitor?

His biggest mistake was to make an incompetent third rate general like Zia chief of staff and he paid the price for it but also left the nation to suffer the misery of this guy for the next 11 years and in some ways till today.

Nuclear program was in reaction to India's which would have conducted its first test in 1974. Boot-oh wouldn't lose to India again!

AS regards Zia, both Boot-oh and Zia did one right thing (each) in their lives: boot-oh starting a nuclear program and Zia hanging boot-oh.

and about 1965 and role of ZAB plzz go and read Altaf Gohar’s "Fauji Raj kay Das saal’ and read the portion abt wat happened in 1965 esp the Operation Jibraltor and Operation Grand Slam and who was the guy who went to Russia to meet their premier ‘koseigen’ (or something) to finalize the Tashkent Agreement details.
