I don't believe homosexuality to be a sin (I do believe promiscuity and infidelity are, the only way homosexuality was practiced 1400 years ago). I don't believe homosexuality can be campared to bestiality any more than praying to God can be compared to praying to an animal.
I do believe it is possible to follow the basic tenets of Islam and get to heaven.

It is a basic tenet in Islam to believe that homosexuality is a sin. I did not say that homosexual people will not go to Paradise. Homosexuality is a sin not because it was over practiced, but because it is in itself an abomination of our function.
Homosexuality is sexual deviation just as bestiality is, but praying to God is not worshipping deviation like praying to an animal is. When you bring your analogies please make sure they hold water.
