Yes you are right enjoy these little wins as much as you can and by the time big tournamets come around it may well be the same story as the World cup and last ICC Trophy.:D

Are u kidding me? What is this, a Sunday evening picnic or an international One day game? Asif was perfectly within his rights...he was pumped up...Jayawardene could also have walked off instead he chose to lock eyes with Asif - its a competitive game and its good to see aggressiveness and some fire and passion in the Pakistanis.
Pakistanis have been sissys ever since Inzamam Ul Haq took over, when someone sledges them, they run to Daddy Umpire - who rarely does anything to stop the sleding from taking place, because its part of the game at all levels now.
Im glad to see Asif showing some aggression...he's showing he cares about playing for the country and he plays with a passion.
Bowlers of the highest callibre don't need do, they just let their bowling do the talking....
I am hoping he lasts long enough as the greats Wasim, McGrath (and he is really the same kind of bowler as McGrath) and letting his bowling doing to talking...

New team always takes time to mesh into one. They are bound to make mistake. Good thing is despite drop catches and giving away wickets, we won the game. First of all Sri Lanka did not play like World Cup finalist. Their fielding was anemic and bowling was pathetic. Too many wide and short picth balls.
What I can conclude from Pakistani batsmen is that we have great hitters. Problem is they keep giving away wickets. Moreover, they are do not have an idea of taking singles and doubles. Poor running between the wickets. Some great shot selections from Hameed, Butt, Sami, Malik and Akmal; all of them whom ended up giving away their wickets. In Test, this line up could be in trouble, but again a new team takes time to mesh together.
I am extremely impressed by bowling. I really think our bowlers won us this game; mainly Afridi and Sami who kept the pressure on Sri Lankan batsmen. Asif and Gul figures are misleading, had our fielders been active, we would have defeated Sri Lanka by 130+ runs. Asif gesture was correct. I think he was well composed, I mean why would Maleha go face to face with him after getting bowled?
Great win, even if patchy. Hopefully, they are able to fix trouble areas as they move on because the coming series and opponents are the real test for this team and Captain Malik.
