War on terror, what now?

Re: War on terror, what now?

"Vicious attacks by Taliban continue as another military base attacked in Bannu. Pity the nation of brave youth like Malala & Aitezaz, led by sheep; represented on media by liars and defended by skewed strategic interests."

Ch. Nisar and co must be praying for a drone strike so that they can divert awaam's attention back to talks and how this is not our war, but we have been pushed into this mess and blah blah blah.

in spite of ongoing massacre after massacre by these monsters if we still go ahead with talks and trusted them, then clearly state has accepted defeat and will bow before these terrorists, no matter how many people lose their lives!

and also why are we forgetting who breached 2009 ceasefire?

Yes operation will have it's consequences across Pakistan - we may witness more attacks, as TTP is working in small cells in urban areas as well, but accepting defeat and bowing before their terms is totally unacceptable and cowardice and we must not talk with killers of thousands of our martyrs.

Re: War on terror, what now?

Security badha di gai ilaqe ko ghere mein le liya geya....... Same old actions after another blast in Pindi some cantt area till now as Dunya news reports 4 lives losts and 10 injured.

Re: War on terror, what now?

Re: War on terror, what now?

As usual TTP jamatul shiyateen claim the attack. Ex LEJ commando Nadeem Intaqami the ameer of shiyateen in Pindi Islambad is master planer of this attack.
On side note yesterday Bannu attack the security personal the Driver of bus was a Suicider make me shocked but not surprised, as me and a lot of others mentioned before we need two kind of operations in same time one inside our population and other their favorite hideout the mountains areas of Fata and balouchistan.

Re: War on terror, what now?

another attack claimed 12 lives and injures 16.

"We will continue attacks on the government and its armed forces as the government has neither announced ceasefire nor peace talks with us,” said TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid."

Pindi blast kills 13; TTP claims responsibility - DAWN.COM

RAWALPINDI: At least 13 people were killed and many feared injured in a bomb blast near the R.A. Bazaar in Rawalpindi on Monday, DawnNews reported.

The site of the 10 kilogram bomb explosion also lies near the General Headquarters of the Pakistani military.

Superintendent of Police Potohar said in the attack six army personnel and seven civilians lost their lives.

The injured were taken to nearby hospitals and most of them were said to be in a critical condition.

Also, the injured included mostly civil staff of security agencies and schoolgoing children. The news of the blast led to parents rushing to schools near the site to inquire about the children’s safety.

Security forces had cordoned off the location of the blast.

According to initial reports, it was suspected that the blast could have been a suicide attack.

The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing, speaking to dawn.com spokesman for the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Shahidullah Shahid said the group had carried out the attack in Rawalpindi, adding that it was in response to the ongoing military operations in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) and the killing of the militant leader Waliur Rehman.

Moreover, police had started investigation and was searching for evidence from the spot where the explosion took place and a search operation was also launched in the adjoining areas.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain strongly condemned the blast.

The blast occurred one day after an attack on a convoy of security forces near the Cantt area in Bannu district, which killed 20 people and injured 30. This attack was also claimed by the TTP with its spokesman saying the group’s onslaught on security forces would continue.

Re: War on terror, what now?

Its strange if LEJ is involved in the Pindi blast, as PMLN is not touching them. Even the army is giving them leeway, if they get active the situation of Punjab will quickly become similar to 2008 to 2010.

Re: War on terror, what now?

Unfotunately by products of Zia have links togather , Only one by product MQM is struggling against the terroists because Taliban are interfering in their domain . As a government PML N will have to take stand leaving old connections .

Re: War on terror, what now?

So, what is the solution? No to go after terrorists b/c they might strike back? You don't win against terrorist by appeasing them. Its has not worked anywhere else & its not going to work in Pakistan. There are countless such example...Algeria, Turkey, Basks in Spain, Norther Ireland...etc. What Pakistan need is a strong leader that is not afraid of crushing terrorists instead of appeasing them.

Re: War on terror, what now?

Yes they will have to take a decision fast.

So much bloodletting has taken place during the past 10 years and it has resulted in immense hatred for each other. Negotiations is not the solution now, maybe they could have been used 6-7 years ago. Now the state should employ using all resources they have to prevent taleban take over (which is getting imminent with the passage of time).

Re: War on terror, what now?

Attack on Punjab would force Sharifs to take a decision, otherwise they dont care as long as their home base is safe.

Re: War on terror, what now?

another day - another attack>shallow condemnations> pleading for dialogue and then the same thing happens again and again.

so sick of their shallow statements, no will or resolve to fight terrorism - taliban apologists still look at ttp as strategic assets who are killing people left and right...

now they are bombing their province, will they wake up finally, before its too late? Zameer naam ki kio cheez hai in men?

Re: War on terror, what now?

The Internal security policy has been postponed...shows seriousness of the govt

Re: War on terror, what now?

It's not about zameee things it's about Mufadat of few parties. Like snakes Taliban biting us as our leader used them for their Mufadat and LEJ feeds by pmln now JI aka PTI doing same mistakes. They are every where now to finish them is not a problem the problem is that it's need a wide and deeper cut off its rutes. from politicians to berucrates few religious parties inside security agencies and Madrasases which are most effecting to promotes new jehsdis and human bombers need to be erased without any hesitation BUT who do it is a big question mark!

Re: War on terror, what now?

CENTCOM extends condolences to the families, and loved ones, of those victims who died as a result of the recent GHQ and Bannu attacks. These violent extremists are becoming more and more bold in their attacks. It seems like the number of attacks are increasing also, isn’t this the third or fourth attack in a week? What’s frightening is the indiscriminant nature of their targets; men, women, children, old and young, military personnel and civilians are all victims due to the terrorists intolerant and violent ideologies. If these people were righteous or courageous they would have had the courage to face an army out in the battlefield and not conduct such cowardly attacks . We support the Pakistani security forces in their goal to fight terrorism whether it is in Khyber Pakhtunwa, Karachi or Lahore and hope that they can soon put a stop to this menace.
