i've only heard 3 desi guys doing a good job at commentary..
1. harsha bhogle...comentator for espn/star
2. Shaztri and Wazim

look fellas waqar is not cut for commentary. i hope he realises and quits after this series. for example he said while commentating durind asifs bowling that asif was 6'7 or 6'8.
what the F....
the lad is prolly bout 6'4 MAX.

Whats its got to do with his commentary abilities, if he even said Asif#s height is 6'7. I am sure he did not measured him.....

Am Indian fan. I think it'd be fun if we had Urdu/Hindi commentators. I don't like the "and-uh" type commentary either. Nothing to do with subcontinent accent speakers. Some people from the Middle East speak like that and it can be annoying at times. Yup, neutral comments wouldn't hurt our sentiments. But I like Deano with his wry humor and "AAhh! What a magnificent shot!" appreciation. I wish we had Ravi Shastri, Wasim Akram, Michael Slater, and Sunil Gavaskar though.
