ok…a very detailed report by waqar. he didnt want umar akmal, and shezad in the team and begged many times to change afridi as captain but no one listened to him
but how in the world espn got the copy of waqar’s report to pcb?
Kafi such bol dia. It wud be great for him to end the report with his resignation as being unable to work as nothing of his recommendation being listened.
Afridi ko to qurban kar diya... baqi Azhar Ali ko captain banwanay ki wajah? 2015 WC mai "Sarfaraz ki technique theek nahi hay"? Waqar dude, you MUST go !
Looks like the report revolved around T20 but nothing about ODIs.

Afridi should have never been made captain, too moody & temperamental and mentally weak, someone who quit the test captaincy right in the middle of the 2010 series in England. Knowing his limitations as a test player, he should have never accepted it in the first place (The idiots running PCB are even more to blame).
Afridi never led Karachi to victory in a domestic tournament. Failed to win or even reach the final of the PSL despite having a talented bunch of players at his disposal, Peshawar Zalmis.
He does not know jack about captaincy. Was always a defensive and clueless captain. About time stupid PCB realised that being the oldest, senior most in cricketing terms or even the best player in the side does not automatically mean that a player has leadership qualities as well. Captaincy should go to someone who has brains/mental strength and above all tactical acumen and skills to do the job.
Bari, Intikhab, Subhan, Shakeel Sheikh and Haroon Rasheed... Inn k naam sunn sunn k kaan pakk gaye hein!!
There is more politics in PCB than parliament
But the question is
Who will bell the cat?
Intikhab aalam is father sorry grear grand father off Pakistam cricket, it was first time when Muhammad Bin Qasim conqured Sindh and Western Punjab, Intikhab Alam, asked Ibn e Qasim to form a cricket body...Ibn Qasim was called back and issue remains pending till formation of Pakistan, and it was then PCB was finally formed...so he can't go anywhere...
Subhan will leave PCB as soon as it will turn into hockey, they guy is on a mission and one should appreciate his dedication...

Intikhab and Qaim Ali Shah are school buddies, were together in Mohenjo daro uni.
Personally I am disgusted with Waqar's report. he has made valid points but has failed to address his own shortcomings and refuses to take responsibility and resign. Just like afridis pathetic apology to nation is nothing more than to extend his cricketing life. They have no shame both should have resigned after the shameful show they put up in India. Bey haya log.

Looks like he has still not grown up, remember 2003 WC?

Waqar will eventually resign or get kicked out, but will this all solve the structural problem he has highlighted in his report? Yes he turned out to be a mediocre coach with no real influence and authority, but none of that should take away the focus from what he is saying.
Your Board has become synonymous with culture of dirty politics, nepotism and out and out unprofessionalism. You really think professional A-List coaches like Andy Flower and Dean Jones would ever want to take up such a high stress and miserable job in a rotten system? With so many leagues being played and paying good money, it is absolutely not worth it for any respectable coach to take up a job in the PCB.
Likes of Waqar is not an issue - the man can easily get a job with ECB or ACB, and they'll actually make the most of out his skills. But where will that leave Pakistan?
One thing I totally agree with Waqar that the next coach should be someone foreign who doesn't bring any baggage with him and cannot be blackmailed by political calls.
When Pakistanis will see a white man amongst them, they will naturally learn to respect his authority and keep their distance.
The whole of Western world will come down on its knees if you start putting Pakistanis in top positions. From my own experience, they make the most unprofessional, inherently biased, unreliable, inefficient and apathetic managers. If by any chance they manage to make it big, it is due to white man's danda on their heads and their structural checks and balances.
PS: This group largely includes Pakistanis who've had their schooling from Pakistan.
