Hi!
I really want some ideas where I can buy some beautiful sarees which we all can see in all these indian dramas. I would like to have some places which are in Lahore, Karachi or Islamabad.
I would be happy with all the ideas

Lahore is full of such places...just drive through mm Alam road...and defence has some good places too...what else...new cavalary ground has good sari places like the Al-fajr as well as the bigger place that they opened up ...i dont remeber the name but itson the corner across the HKarim Baksh....way in the beginning when u drive towards dha. Designers which have good saris...Maria B, HSY...

I would highly recommend 'Saree Bano House' in Anarkali Lahore, the collection of sarees they have are quite good but i like them because they can copy any design perfectly!!! I have had four made from them and they were all perfect

hey im sorry i couldnt point out the location in specific but while browsing tariq road in karachi i saw several small dukaan daars selling indian drama saris. They advertised them as "Kum Kum ki saris" and "saas bhi kabhi bahu thi" saris lol. they were overpriced IMO but u might wanna check them out.

In pindi you ca check out Mohsin Sons for good sarhees ....theyre expensive but WOW....
Otherwise i think if u just look around you'll find what you want....sumtimes small unknown shops can have amazing stuff :)

For Sarees, Cavalry Ground stores r the best...get some from Alfajr, not the biiger shp but the smaller one with the same name...their sarees r simply wonderful and best of all , theie prices are half of the bigger stores..

And yes KARACHI is the best city to get Sarees...I ;ve heard that they r cheaper too there

ru serious? i didnt find any gud saree shops in karachi! and bout the "kum kum" thing..i heard that a yr ago there used b earings like "kum kum ke jhomkey" n stuff...thats funny!

i have to say Mohsin Sons in Pindi is the best...they have a huge selection..i went there just 2 wks ago and bought a beautiful white/orange saree also prices are reasonable i also bought my wedding dress there and it came out perfect......if u see anything in a magazine u love...show them and give htem a few weeks even email them the pic and they will be able to copy it exaclty!! and im VERYYYYYYY picky about my clothes and i have to say they copies my picture of my wedding lehnga from an internet pic that wasnt full length either and they made it perfect actually better than the pic!
queenbee2007 do u have an email address of mohsin and sons? i would like to get my dress made by them as well....

If you’re passing through Karachi, then I’ve heard some interesting things of a designer by the name of Rehana Saigol, who apparently specialices in the sale of Saris. I haven’t seen them personally, but i’ve heard she was completely inundated with orders at a fashion show a few months back:

I saw some really interesting looking sarees on a shop at Zamzama by the same of Palki...I have no idea wat lane that was...but some really nice sarees...
Tariq road has some really horrible looking sarees IMO...I would definitely look around zamzama ....There is a bazar in Karachi named Banaras....they have a huge varitey of sarees....Do check it out if you are into Banarsi Sarees ....they can dye the saree in any colour/color combos u want....
or If you can get someone to buy you sarees from UK,US or Canada from some of the indian stores here...that would be great...cuz I havent seen such amazing sarees anywhere in Pakistan...and they are priced well too...I think fairly less than wat you would pay in Pakistan for a nice piece...

^ snap - Palki in zamzama is where we get our tailoring done. We initially went there to look at some bridal outfits, but were more interested in the Sari's they had. Apparently most of his outfits were imported from India...
