Re: Wandering Eyes

Re: Wandering Eyes

Beware of your thinking, because they become your words, and then your actions, and then your habbits and finally your character.

Most of the sinners when interviewed, agreed that the "plan" (idea) was not a sudden thunder bolt from the sky, but their temptations developed after watching it and thinking about it for a long time, and finally couldn't resist tasting/feeling the pleasure of it, practically.

Re: Wandering Eyes

It happens in daily life. Wives think that their husbands don't oggle, but have a very pure way of looking at other women (just like they would look at their own sisters). But one day when she is working in kitchen, and is paying attention to the words of her husband talking to his friend in a casual way, he unintentionally translates his thoughts into words about the beautiful "assets" of other women so excitedly (without realizing that his wife is listening). It is then when his wife realizes the purity of those "Just looking and appreciating the beauty of art"

Re: Wandering Eyes

^People can't always help what pops into their heads hence 'thinking' itself is not haram, only acting out on those thoughts..

Re: Wandering Eyes

^ Yep. It is just like a traffic of good and bad thoughts going through your mind. Usually only those thoughts become one's words (intentionally or unintentionally) which he mostly doesn't ignore and like to continue thinking about for long time.

Why do people not talk about khatara (dented) cars passing on the roads but continue talking about the latest models of the most expensive cars, because they choose to totally ignore the daddu garis (fox wagons) and think more about getting the BMW's, so they couldn't resist talking about them. (even unintentionally)

Why doesn't this comes out from their mouth unintentionally, "Oh..that sister in my office, she is very kind" Because this concept was not in the thought process most of the time. Rather the words that come out of the mouth represent a negative thought process...Do I even need to mention those words ?!

Re: Wandering Eyes

Bingo!. I stand by this.

Re: Wandering Eyes

Then they are men or women of weak character and as it says in the Quran Allah shall guide people to the right path if they are worthy. I am of course paraphrasing but I believe that is somewhere in Surah Al Bakra.

Re: Wandering Eyes

??????

Re: Wandering Eyes

I was right. Surah Al Bakra, Ayat 6 to 22.

Those who deny the faith and the instruments are going to be lead astray anyway. But there is a huge difference between accepting the creations of Allah and acting on sinful temptations.
