I need suggestions on a wall hanging for my bedroom.

We have a huge bed with light blue and brown covers, dark brown curtains and light brown furniture. I need a fairly large wall handing for the wall behind my bed that is light in weight so it doesnt smash our heads if it were to fall. I was looking for something made of bamboo or maybe a scroll type of thingie…

Any suggestions?

I think some cool , soothing hanging should be on the the foot side so that it can help you go to sleep. :hmmm:
You cannot leave the head side bare so some beautiful calligraphy is a nice thing to have on that side. That will add to baraka of your bedroom.

canvas paintings are really light weight despite the size.

NJgal, thats true.
and as a backup, if you have them properly hung they will not fall off anyways.

OH MY GOD!!! I am planning this exact same thing these days. I have pretty large bedroom with an okayish size bed and I wanted a wall hanging made out of branches. I do have branches but I don't know what to do with those. curtains are off white kind. I also want ideas.. DIY with branches for the wall hanging

hareem the chinese letters around the scroll are earth, wind, fire and water. (or at least that is what they are supposed to be, who knows they may say chicken beef shrimp and duck..we did have a chinese maid who validated what they meant..she could have been in on the joke though

the scroll is very detailed, it says alhumdulillah and simultaneously can be read as long life in chinese.
the shaded area is actually smaller calligraphy with muhammad rasool allah written. there is a similar version on the artists site, its breath taking.

You could use small mirrors to create a pattern on the wall too...
