my cuz entering song was chalte chalte n the camera man (shah nawaz) did beutiful effects like showin candles n close up of her feet when she coming..in tht scene he used the lyrics n based the song on her...
thank u so very much everyone! really appreciated the response. one of my cousin's walked in with dhols...it was so beautiful. but this other cousin...she wants a song therefore this thread :).
When I have my wedding, I would hate to enter into a bollywood song every1 knows. Even if not many people know it I still want it to be unique. No bollywood movie song. I would want an instrumental song. I would ask for ideas as I am getting married soon but this is not my thread and it wouldn't be fair to the person who started this thread so if any suggestions for a not too fast not too slow instrumental please private message me the name of the song. THANKS!..
At my bother's friend's wedding, the dulhan's soon to be mother in law sang
"mere ghar ayi ek nanhi pari" from the movie Kabhi Kabhi for her. I thought it was such a sweet thing for a MIL to do :)
Wow how sweet, sepecially it being the MIL!~..If I find people who’d sound like professionals I’d let them sing but then thats never going to happen so I best stick to burning the perfect song from the web..instrumental is what I’m most likely going to pick..
BTW-any suggestions for good songs for the groom to walk in on? I prefer non-bolly/lollywood if possible..a good Paki song or nice instrumental that sounds like someone important is coming in..lol THANKS!!!
P.S.-I like Tera Chehra by Adnan Sami but its not original enough cuz I know two different people who walked in on it and they’ll be at my shaadi InshAllah:blush:
My cousin who is not even engaged yet(doesnt even have a guy in mind..lol) tells me she wants to walk into the song "Maula Mere" from the movie Anwar. What do you all think? I told her I would personally never walk in on it cuz 1.) its a bollywood song 2.) doesnt sound like a entrance song much
Why automatically dismiss bolly songs just because they’re bolly? Anyways maula mere is a really beuatiful song. I dont think you mya have heard it. The first time I heard it a few weeks before my wedding I KNEW it was goign to be my song. It’s very romantic, very slow, and the words and music is beautiful. Even now when I listen to it I get all because I can imagine walking in on it (again :D)
A tip though if someone want sto go in on a bollywood song, make sure its very current and wasn’t played at the wedding of anotehr guests whose wedding u attended…its deff hard to be original, but then again I dont care if this song had been played ta 50 weddings before mine, if I love the song theN i want it at my wedding.

Thanks so much for the list. It helps a lot. I am a bit lost b/c my theme is mughal/peacock. What kind of music then would I enter in on/play? I am thinking while dinner is going on I would have nice shehnai and some good instrumental tunes. Any other suggestions? Umrao Jaan (2006)didn't cross my mind when thinking of entrance songs cuz I was too bogged down on making sure I would enter on an instrumental. The song you chose from that film is elegant and nice but doesn't quite sound like an entrance song Anyways, THANKS!!
Just checked out Chandni Raatein by Ali Haider online its a cute song but way too slow..
chandni raatein is slow thts why it matches the situation ab ap bhaag to nai rai hogi na tum chal to ahista ahista hi rahi hogi so thats why i m sugessting this song if u want instrumental music then go for "mr.bismillah khan's shenai"its perfect for any wedding good luck!

For the mehndi I want songs that talk about the actual mehndi party/or the henna (mehndi) and this day is typically a day of fast/upbeat songs, I have already chosen songs for that but am stuck on the wedding day entrance song itself as I have a mughal theme . BTW-since I don't live in Pakistan and am not going there anytime soon does anyone know a good website which sells good quality wedding supplies from Pakistan/India? Also make sure it delivers to America. THANKS ALL
Imma have to do my research cuz I am real confused. I want a song that fits my mughal theme. Something that screams mughal royalty walking in..lol..but thats true
we played 'sajan ghar aana tha' from i dunno what movie when the baraat came in, it was really magical, perfect timing and all. When sis came in we played 'aay ho meri zindagi mein' in the guys voice and after the photosession and dinner they both walked in together and we played 'aik din aap yoon humko mil jain gay'
On the mehndi we played the upbeat part of that song from bride and prejudice, ballay ballay when the guys family came, when sis came we played wohi din from kisna.
