Re: waking up for morning prayers.

Keep your alarm clock at a distance so you cant hit and snooze it while lying down.

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

Sadly, I do miss fajor prayer too. The best things to get up early in the morning is to go to sleep early.

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

I dont want to brag but no matter what time I go to bed, allhamduliilah I get up for fajr (and then go back to bed after praying :( )

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

it's about priorities...it you give it more or same priority you would give to your early morning flight, i'm sure, like your flight, you will NOT miss your namaaz!

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

Peace All,

Before I go to bed, I make dua that ke ‘Ya Allah! mujeh fajr ki namaaz parhnay ki tofeeq ata farma’ so with or without alram I hear the Adhaan lound n clear in my ears and that time, satan wishper in my ear ke ‘abhi azaan ho rahi hy thori dair baad mein uth jana’, ‘abhi namaaz mein buhat time hy’, ‘wake up after 5 or 10 min’ etc., etc.,

What I usually do once I heard the adhaan, I wake up and walk straight to the kitchen to drink water or just look into refrigerator and this is how I don’t miss the fajr namaaz.

Book ‘Call to Prayers (Adhaan)’ of Sahih Bukhari Hadith No. 582.
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle :saw2: said, “When the Adhan is pronounced Satan takes to his heels and passes wind with noise during his flight in order not to hear the Adhan. When the Adhan is completed he comes back and again takes to his heels when the Iqama is pronounced and after its completion he returns again till he whispers into the heart of the person (to divert his attention from his prayer) and makes him remember things which he does not recall to his mind before the prayer and that causes him to forget how much he has prayed.”

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

^ i agree, if you make the neeyat to get up for Fajar and ask Allah to help you in waking up it works.

its also a habit, once you make this part of your daily routine it really is no issue.

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

^ yup! that totally helped me, you make the neeyat, and then its up to you to just get up and not think ' aah just 2 min more' :D

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

I have the same problem.. I really want to pray tahujjud.. and then also pray fajr... But i can't wake up no matter what time i go to sleep :(

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

Peace destiny2012,

In that case don't sleep at all in night. Try to sleep at day time. I know this is how u'll feel disturbance and a little hardship on u which atleast convince u r mind that "No! you have to wake up at tahajjud and/or Fajr time".

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

Thanks lethal... I know you are right... the days i have prayed tahajjud have been the best days of my life

waking up for morning prayers.

Before you go to sleep, think about the time you want to wake up for fajr. Somehow, sometime you eyes will open, just at the right time.

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

I go to bed early with only intention that i want to wake up early for Fajar. Allah ka shukar, it is working for me :)

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

Same here Alhamdulillah. These days I don't go back to bed after praying though, because the gap between Fajr time and time to get ready for office gets very small the closer you get to winter.

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

Yes that is coming for me too Umer. By November, I will start getting up towards the later part of Fajr and then will be getting ready for the office

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

Go to bed early to make sure you wake up for Fajar namaaz.
I used to find it really hard but MashaAllah since I got married,
I don’t have issue waking up. My hubby makes sure I do.

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

Peace,

Usually in the month of Ramadhan, we friends around 7 or 8 person calls each others at 'Sehri' time and have a group call. This is b'coz so that we don't miss the sehri as well as Fajr namaaz. But in ordinary months non gives wake-up call to each other. We tried but usually our cell phone is on silent mode :)

Re: waking up for morning prayers.

This is such an inspiring thread. Unfortunately I am the same who doesnt wake up for fajr namaz. InshAllah I will make it soon.
