Wahhabism

Re: Wahhabism

not only they call shias kaafir but they also think they will go to jannat for killing shia men and raping their women..they are sick
do you know about 4 or 5 years ago they killed over 70 shia doctors in one year alone..do you know how many high ranking shias they killed before musharraf took power..even after that they were killing many shias..if it was not the pressure from the US to find these talibans in pakistan this trend would have continued..last year i went to pak and they bombed two shia mosques in the span of couple of months

CURRENT ACTIVITIES OF THE TERRORISTS OF SIPAHISAHABA <== LINK

Hundreds are killed each year by so called QARIS/HAFIZ/MUFTIS/MOLVIS
of Sipah-i-Sahaba and Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (Pakistani Taliban)

Re: Wahhabism

hmm.. this fight will never end because then someone will go and find a site against Sipah-e-Muhammad- a parellel organisation of Shia Muslims in Pakistan as to Sipah-e-Sahaba

People, get over it.

Re: Wahhabism

go ahead and find me a site which lists all the killing of Sipah e Mohummad

instead of speaking against this terror…you come up with this lame excuse

Re: Wahhabism

Sheraz Bro: I do not believe that any of the shia or sunni scholars of school of thought find it islamic the way both organisation carry on their principles.

here is just one link to tell you what I meant.. I was not going to share anything but your reply made me do this. I, for one, never considered shia as non-muslims for many reasons of my belief and no I am not wahabbi/salafi school of thought -

Re: Wahhabism

sorry wrong thread :p

Re: Wahhabism

oh and you can see it's not from any sunni site :) it lists sipaha-e-sahaba as terrorist group as well :-)

Re: Wahhabism

thanks anwar for the link..i won't copy paste the entire page cuz its kinda long but here is what i found interesting:

Formation

The exact date of formation of the SMP is not certain. But it is generally believed that Maulana Mureed Abbas Yazdani created the outfit in 1993 after he was convinced that the predominant Shia organisation, Tehreek-e-Jaferia Pakistan (TJP) would not allow its young cadre to physically counter the Sunni militancy of the Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) and the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ). The Shia youth had been urging the TJP leadership to take notice of the alleged excesses of the SSP whose members were alleged to be targeting Shia's and their beliefs.

Objective

The primary objective of the SMP is the protection of the Shiite community from Sunni fundamentalist and terrorist outfits. Its main rival is the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ). SMP chief Ghulam Raza Naqvi is also reported to have visualised the creation of a Quds force comprising both Shias and Sunnis to ‘liberate’ Jerusalem.

=============================================================

and you compare sipah e Mohummad with sipah e sahaba and lashkare jhangvi????
some people created SEP because of anger and frustration that innocent shias are getting killed non stop and no one is there to do anything about it..its not the best solution but think about it..they targetted the terrorist outfits and not the namazis or the doctors or the lawyers...even then they havnt caused any damage to any organization

Re: Wahhabism

Wahabbis don't all think like that, we just think that shias tend to do things a "little different".

Re: Wahhabism

What is the wahabi way of washing your private parts I saw a movie last night just want to confirm if the movie was right.

Re: Wahhabism

wahabbis dont believe in the sunnat’s if i am correct?
im probably incorrect…
so… im shia - what do i care

Re: Wahhabism

Oh for God's sake, this is ridiculous.

It's pitifully clear that the definition of "wahhabi" is so vague that it's meaningless to use it as a label of identity.

You get extremely tolerant people who label themselves wahhabis.

You get bigots who label themselves wahhabis.

You get extremely tolerant people who don't consider themselves to be wahhabis but who others label as being wahhabis

You get bigots who don't consider themselves to be wahhabis but who others label as being wahhabis.

It just goes on and on. It's a worthless label, the term "wahhabi" applies to such a broad spectrum of religious ideals that it is completely unsuited for use as way of describing a person, group of people, or set of beliefs.

Re: Wahhabism

^ exactly.

There was this Maulvi sahib I used to frequent discussions with in Pakistan, who happen to be the father of a good friend of mine and a self proclaimed Wahhabi. Yet he couldn't tell me a difference between Wahhabi or an otherwise sunni.

I haven't met two people claiming to be wahhabis with exact same set of beliefs. They are like the leffties in Hollywood, they might hate the religious right (in Wahabbis case the infidel) with same fervor but can't quiet agree on anything else.

Re: Wahhabism

ان الله لا يغفر ان يشرك به ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء ومن يشرك بالله فقد افترى اثما عظيم

4:48 Allah forgives not that a partner should be ascribed unto Him and He forgivs all whom that he He wills, and the one who ascribes partners to Allah so for he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.

Re: Wahhabism

Gentlemen,

Though moratorium is not there, but atleast have basic decency in discussing a topic and addressing other members. Calling them names, mocking and posting insults is the fastest way to book a one-way ticket out of Gupshup.

Thanks.

Re: Wahhabism

Alright, coming back to the topic....

Wahabbis is used more as an insult, so I can see why people get annoyed. In Pakistan, these people are also called Ahle-Hadeeth. Same thing.

The history of Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahaab, his rise to spiritual leadership in Arabia, and ties with King Saud in setting up the monarchy in Arabia are well documented. But lets not get into it, for this discussion.

There are many different variations of how people follow Islam, from one extreme to another extreme and dozens of shades within it. As an example, we find people offering salah with their hands on their waist, their chests or on their sides. None of them should bother anyone, because each of these are trying to follow the example of the Prophet (Peace be upon him). There are many issues of faith that muslims differ on: when will qiyamat come, or Some think meraj was physical, some think it was imagined etc. None of that gives anyone any problems.

So if Ahle-Hadeeth have a strong preference for declaring things as shirk and avoiding it, thats fine. Shias do matam in their imam bargah or their homes, thats fine. Some sunni groups hold milads in Rabi-al-Awwal, thats fine too. Problem occurs when someone or some group tries to force their views on others. Then it gets ugly. And that, I believe, is the problem here as well.
