VOTE-NO Burka Ban in Australia

So you have three points:

It causes a lot of women being pressured into it

A) The veil is not to be blamed for women being pressured. If anything should be banned it should be those people “who pressure women to wear it”. It is not a reasonable thing to do to ban an item of clothing purely because people enforce it, mostly husbands. Rather a law should be set against them saying “if a husband forces his wife to wear the veil he could get a penalty or his wife may refuse on civil liberty grounds without incursion” this is a better and more ‘logical’ law surely.

It causes unfriendly abnormal and social interactions

A) Again the people who become unfriendly both the wearer of the veil or the person talking to the wearer it is their fault not the fault of the veil. I have seen and had many conversations with women in veil without any problems.

It makes absolutely no sense to you

A) Usually people who are confused about something tend to harbour a ‘dislike’ for it. Furthermore, when people learn about something they tend to ‘understand’ what it is about. Again the item of cloth has no fault on your lack of ‘sense’ that you make for it.

Why is it, do you think, that you have been prevented from ‘seeing’ the unfairness of the condemnation of a piece of cloth worn in certain way? If biochemistry makes no sense to me, it doesn’t mean that it should be banned. Who would give you such thoughts?
