it would be a wrong and undemocratic move to ban burqa in australia.. u can't just take away someone's religious freedom like that.. ppl complain about islamic laws being strict n all and AT THE SAME TIME they do stuff like this.. i mean c'mon.. democracy?? my ass..

burqas are incompatible with usual social interaction.. often they are pressured on women.. its a WEIRD WEIRD custom... and should not be justified or allowed because some people claim it's part of their religion..

weird custom?? for me, those pandits wid orange dhotis and red marks on their foreheads r weirder.. i don't see them getting banned..burqa should be allowed coz many women want to wear it.. it's forced in many cases but in many cases i know for a fact, it's not forced and the woemn happily do it.. i mean no one in my family wears a burqa but that doesn't men i should be inconsiderate of the the women who want to..

Some pandits walk around with only a dhoti on.. no shirt or kurta.. they say its their religion but I say they should be given the same treatment as somebody walking around only in jeans and no shirt.. they should not be served in restaurants with the rule "no shirt, no shoes.. no service"... just cuz they say its their religion it should not make them immune to it..
and democracy these countries are.. the majority wants to ban it.. so they banned it.. democracy...
