It is amazing to see the short memory of Pakistani cricket fans (indian too). Even Shoaib Akhtar who has some 12 ODI's and 10 tests to his credit with not grest stat is a favourite. But none talks of legend Waqar Younis now that he is down. None remembers Salim Malik who has single handedly won as many games for Pak as maybe Miandad. But now it is Saqlain.
If you visit Indian cricket forum, same scene. They were equating Shukla with future Kapil after one performance and after one game of Khurasia, Kambli had no future according to fans. One bad performance and selection of Khurasia is now blunder.
