you are in deep thoughts about some really pressing issues and all of a sudden, a colleague says, do you mind if i turn on some (REALLY LOUD) music?
you nod, "go ahead. "
a couple of minutes later, your flash drive is accidentally broken INTO TWO PIECES, because another person hits into the front of your PC’s processor.
he is not sorry, but smiles at you, as dumb as he can be.
what can you do?
you are still in deep thoughts and so you take this with an attitude that it was an accident.
placing the flash drive on your office desk, you turn to reach out for the stapler, and your coffee spills on your paper.
there you go. can;t get any better.
12:01 pm. your phone rings, you do not attend it. when you hear the message later, your friend is being really sad, because his relationship ended. he wants you to call him, NOW.
and RIGHT THEN, at that moment, your supervision alert shows on your Outlook calender.
5 MINUTES before it begins.
there comes a text, (LIKE YOU WERE WAITING FOR IT), your sibling is asking you, did you mail the over night packet yet for his/her exam registration?
frozen molten, you hear yourself sigh and say to your self, good God.
the meeting is dead ended. you cant say any more than you are hearing.
so you decide to only hear EVERYTHING that you are being subjected to hearing.
silly idle story telling, shmoozing, flattered requests to take time off, while you only want to talk business and then get out of the conf room.
5:00pm. you had an appointment with your eye doctor. it takes 45 minutes to get there. you have to be there, in 15 minutes.
you cant but
at your own self and your dear fate this day.
it gets better. you missed the appointment. you know you will hit traffic and the dry cleaners is closed by now. so you finish some more work, make some coffee, not to spill it this time.
you think of calling home and you realize your cell ph battery is weakening on you.
everyone was going to the city to attend a fund raiser. you were tired, you excused yourself and are ready to head home, after a really rough day at work.
you go to the wash room, there is no paper towel to wipe your face off of water splash.
so you let that dry.
three bags to hold - lap top, files, hand bag and the tea flask.
out you go.
AND YOU LOCK your office keys in side of your office.
thank God, these keys were in a different chain than your car keys.
7:15 PM. DARK OUT. QUIET STREET.
out in the parking lot. no one, but another truck suv is behind your car. and on the side is a church’s station wagon. SO BASICALLY, you cant get out. AND THERE IS NO ONE TO MOVE THESE CAR, UNTIL THESE PEOPLE WILL RETURN TO WHEREVER THEY ARE GONE.
what happens to your mind after all this?
