Vomiting while fasting

So I stopped myself all day from vomiting, coz been feeling sick since morning..anyways around 5pm I vomited :frowning:

Does that mean my fast has now broken? I still havent ate anything in the hope that my fast is still valid…

Re: Vomiting while fasting

It's valid. But if you are not feeling well, you may opt to break it. It's your choice.

**
if u braek ur fast that doesn't mean go on eating spree, u still have to respect the sanctity of ramadhan and not eat unless its absolutely necessary**

Re: Vomiting while fasting

Fast is still valid so unless its a matter of life and death, do not break it. It happened at 5 PM means you probably have less than 3 hours left anyways.

time of the day is not important. the validity of roza and eating is as far as i know

Re: Vomiting while fasting

WHt you said is right in post number 3. What I am saying is that fast is still valid so do not break.

thank you for clarfication. eid mubaarak :)

well Quran is very clear

Chapter 2 Verse 184
The prescribed fasting is for a fixed number of days, but whoso among you is sick or is on a journey shall fast the same number of other days; and for those who are able to fast only with great difficulty is an expiation — the feeding of a poor man. And whoso performs a good work with willing obedience, it is better for him. And fasting is good for you, if you only knew.
So if you were sick and forced your self to fast then in my opinion it is clearly against what Quran says. If you were not well then you should have kept fast as you can always keep it later on.

Re: Vomiting while fasting

as-salamu alaykum

on vomiting:
If a person cannot help vomiting then some of the vomit goes back into his stomach unintentionally, that does not invalidate his fast
Ruling on fasting person who vomits a little
The one who cannot help vomiting does not have to make up the fast
Things that invalidate the fast

@dtox..ed

bro, if a sick person fasts then it is not going against the Qur’an because the Qur’an does not say that the sick person SHOULD NOT fast. The Qur’an says it is permissible for sick people to not to fast. It did not make it obligatory. Allahu A’lam
