no it doesn't turn orange becoz the face/skin will sweat and gets rid of the colour where as on the nail it stays put.

Murad's Vitamin C serum is really good. Philosophy's microdermabrasion system has vitamin C crystals and that's really good too. It gives phenomenal results.

My face hasn't turned orange. my hands do but it fades fairly quickly ut my nails look like they have faint mehndi stains and its horrible.

hey nice..this mixture of vit C+glycerine does it really lighten skin because i got sun tan.. i want to remove that sun tan on my legs and arms.. when i look at my bare arms and legs skin is of different colour that is part that was covered and uncovered..

so does this really remove tan?

i skimmed thru the thread and i have few question hopefully u wonderful ladies can answer:
someone mentioned that we can replace vitamin C powder with fresh lemon juice. does it work the same way?
i read that it enlarges your pores.. so if i apply it every other day and use clay mask once a week would that work?

okay...i live in the u.s. and i dont really buy stuff online, i looked at target/walgreens but they didn't have the vitamin c powder...

the closest i saw was benefiber (vitmain c laxative) and metamucil would this work?

I read the other website and fresh lemon juice doesnt have enough Vit-C concentration, thats why you need the Vit-C powder.

It does enlarge the pores a bit ... but the result are worth it... my skin is glowing and the dark patches have already started dissapearing and I dont even use it everyday.

Yes using the clay mask is a good thing for the pores .. I think they recommend twice a week.

I don't think it will remove sun tan .. it will reduce (lighten) dark patches, pigments and give you a smooth skin.

A derm on tv mentioned that prolonged use of Vitamin C makes the skin extremely sensitive. If it increases cell-turnover and collagen production it must make your skin pretty dry too?

not really. If anything My face feels more moisturized. (but tht might be due to the glycerine too)

Is tht any vitamin C, or Vitamin C "powder" in particular?

I've started using it 2-3 times a week now, with a mud mask. My face was very sensitive to begin with, apart from the tingling for the first 5-10 minutes everything seems to be ok so far.

I have been using it for 3 days now. Dint see any instant results but im willing to give it a try for another week or so..fingers crossed

From what i have been reading when applying any vitamin c serum to the skin,( even those that are made from synthetic synthesised versions of vitamin C to maintain stability are just the same as a home made serum) being an exfoliating serum it is advisable to wear sun block. I think the effects on collogen etc....are only seen after a long time of use. Vitamin C intravenously is also given to those who have skin problems for healing etc. However, I am always very umm dubious about any claims lol.....this vitamin C whirwind could just be another fad as was the AHA whirlwind the next best thing for your skin now there are claims that it can increase chances of skin cancer. They never really know anything until its been ten years done the line and even then what we hear could be just for their own marketing purposes.

I have been using this vitamin C thing for about two weeks, skin feels alot smoother defintely, now I just leave it on for and hour like a face mask.

As everyone's skin is different I think it is sensible as with any produc that if you notice adverse changes to your skin stop using asap. We know our face best.

Always wear sunblock at least spf30 prevention is always better than cure ;=)
