Re: Vital Signs memories
both sanwali and gori are such racist songs… ![]()
aaroh seems to be the only band who may have come close to what VS was…
just my two cents.
Re: Vital Signs memories
JJ - what an awesome voice he had :( now we have lost him to Kurtas :(
Re: Vital Signs memories
yaar VS was the best thing to happen to Pakistani music...no one can ever come close to their success. Ohh PCG ...Yeh SHaam is my altime fav song, o sanama, ankhoun ne ankhoun are great 2
Re: Vital Signs memories
they are My bachpan fav band.. and I still listens to them... they gave a new soul to pakistani music..
Re: Vital Signs memories
^ me too .. first time when i heard them I think i was 11 .. even tho their songs are quite old now but still they are unique and brilliant .. :k: ..
Re: Vital Signs memories
agreed. I don’t understand why people has to bash the new so they can compliment the old. Groups like fuzon, jal, ahmed jehanzaib are talented in their own rights. Plus, let’s not go too far in our compliment of vital signs. They stole errr were “inspired” by a lot of western bands.
Re: Vital Signs memories
ahmed jahanzeb is not a band.. and jal is not really impressive…
and all the new guys are also really “inspired” by a hell lotta more ppl…
vital signs were good..
Re: Vital Signs memories
maybe jal isn’t “impressive” by your standard but not by others. I meant to say people or band. It was a typo. I know the new guys are inspired by a lot of people but that still doesn’t make it right. I have a real problem with calling VS “legend” since they copied western acts.
Re: Vital Signs memories
lolz.... u must not think ALLAMA IQBAL is great either than? cuz his most work was "inspired" too...
ppl just gotta improve their standards u know :P
Re: Vital Signs memories
what are you getting your panties up in a bunch for. You like VS and I don't. Why can't we just leave it at that. You don't need to question people's standard just cuz they have a different taste in music. As far as allama iqbal is concerned, I don't think anything about him. All I know about the dude is that he first started with the idea of pakistan. I don't know enough about the guy to declare him a legend or a buffoon.
Re: Vital Signs memories
vital signs are one of the greatest bands ever. so they copied western style. what are bands and singers doing now. Fakhir's Mahi Ve is a copy of Chicago and all the "rock" bands are trying to copy real rock bands but are coming up short. EP is so copying Linkin Park.
Re: Vital Signs memories
Pretty true…
Miss 'em very much…
Re: Vital Signs memories
I still feel a twinge of pain in my heart every time I hear JJ.
lets out a cold sigh.
Re: Vital Signs memories
vital signs reminds me of the good ol days at my khalas old house..
i think faakhir steals alot more that vital signs.. his mahi ve video is just like chichago.. n somewhat reminded me of the britney n madona kiss thing... i dont know if his songs steall but his music videos sure do.
Re: Vital Signs memories
Their first album was arguably the best pop album ever. It had so many falvours, the compositions and arrangements were so much beyond the cheesy 80s stuff, they had so much class and depth to them. But Rohail Hayat turned the band upside down with his "moody" and "edgy" brand of music (which some the idiotic critics loved) present in practically all the albums since the first one, and then there was the disastrous Hum Tum which had Rohail Hayat written all over it, which sucked, coz I liked the Shoaib Mansoor brand of music was which was there in the first album and in JJ's solo albums [especially Us Rah Par which was almost as good as VS1].
