Vital Signs/Junaid Jamshed - the legend

Junaid Jamshed - Vital Signs.

Junaid Jamshed is the best pop singer according to me. No one can compete him. He has his own class. His tunes will stay young forever. Tunes u can listen @ any time.

First time ever his song Dil Dil Pakistan came i saw it on tv, the ever first time, and i fell in love with that song.

After Vital Signs released their first album it went huge. Their songs like “do pal ka jeeva”, “musafir” and “ankhain” are tunes which are forever.

And the ever ever lasting song “AITEBAAR” from volume 4.

and his best solo album US RAH PAR..which has melodious tunez…

Salman Ahmed left Vital Signs and i understand, for him ROCK was a way to ghussa nikaalna and that is what he is doing in JUNOON. Even though he left VS, VS still reached the TOP.

but no one can compare JUNOON with VS.

I personally met Junaid Jamshed, and organized a concert with him, and he is a very down to earth person, with a great personality. Here is the picture i took of him (cant post my own in here due to some reasons)

Now as u all know Vital Signs is back once again, and they are coming with Vital Signs Vol 6!!! It was in newspapers, on sites, etc etc but now the time is very close til they actually will go thru the marketing phase and its release.

All i will say is…that VITAL SIGNS will do it even better than before, as i have heard some of the songs from their upcoming alb.

Junaid Jamshed Zindabaad.

i made a vital signs special with all their songs and released albums so far, which u can check out at www.PakMusic.com

Enjoy.

Junoon wala part rehne daitay tou "chaa" janay wali thread thi.

Do Vital Signs have a greatest hits record? Saawali Seloni (or however it is said) is my favourite song of theirs.

Very nice site ASN. And, it's true Junoon can't be compared with VS, they're just two different things and about two differnt things.

Well said. The comparison between Junoon and VS could get very nasty. The simple fact remains though that Junoon has sold more albums world wide then VS could dream of and Junoon enjoys a fan base a lot larger then VS. Salman composed "Do Pal Ka Jeevan" and thats not considered the ghussa nikalnay wala music. I dont know how you can consider songs like "Khuawab", "Saeen", "Rooh Ki Pyaas", "Alaf" etc ghussa nikalnay waley song. Anyway everone have their own prefernce and seems like a whole lot of people prefer Junoon over VS.

Sawoli Saloni

there u go.

Yes i know we cannot compare junoon with vital signs, cuz junaid jamshed is a legend, and he has his own style. Not like ali azmat changing styles in every album..(singing style/music style).look at Junoon and there albums..they always have different kind of experimental muziQ. Well saying about sales..junoon wanted to go international..they went to all kinda countries..gave their songs to indian channels…all the time…bla bla bla.

but Junaid Jamshed has his own class, his songs have something called MELODY…which makes them young forever.

His tunes are 4ever…simply too good.

but lets keep poor junoon out of this thread plz.

dil kush kiya, ASN yaara.

VS is light years ahead of Junoon. If Junoon can compose half of what VS composed, I'd say they ought to be very satisfied with themselves.

Junaid Jamshed's voice is the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. And especially when you consider that Junaid has no classical training, your appreciation for his talent grows even more.

also, ASN everybody's been saying that VS is coming back and then people deny it. what the heck is going on? the bottomline is that Pak music just isn't the same without VS.

Reason why i made Vital Signs special is kind of a celebration and a welcome to Vital Signs.

Because like i said earler Vital Signs is back. Currently i am not allowed to tell anything regarding the album. But i will say one thing, it will be songs which will carry the tradition of VS muziQ and JJ vocals.

Junoon has done 7 cds so far. (where deewar is their 8th one), and Daur-e-Junoon which had live old tracks so in real its just 6 cds!

Vital signs has done 5 cds under the name of VS and then Junaid Jamshed has done 5 solo CDs! that is 10 cds! plus the english VS.

and pick any song from VS / Junaid Jamshed and it is just gold!

VS are VS :~)

Thank you so much. :flower1: I love this song.

if you do have some inside news, then that's just great. it's been a long time since the last VS single was out.

VS indeed are the kings of Pak music.

Well, we are in touch with both Salman and Junaid (junaid being a former student of my dad), and here is some information for you guys. When Junaid decided to leave music for good, to concentrate on Islam, it was Salman who convinced him not to leave singing. I will also put up the video clip of a recent interview by both of them together, where they talk about how they first sang their first song in a concert, and how they vowed that this was the point of no return, very sentimental interview. Two of them are the best of friends, and one more thing, the reason why Salman left VS are not because he wanted to go for another band, it had something to do with the other members of the band, things didnt work out, and Salman had to make a queit departure from the band. VS was a great band, a band who started it all in Pakistan, but comparing them to Junoon is totally unfair to them. Also, those saying that JJ didnt release albums abroad are only partially correct, since his last album Dil Ki Baat, was primarily targeted for the Indian market.

I will upload some interesting VS video clips soon!

Well said spock. I think the reason for Salman leaving VS was Rohail (I might be wrong). Rohail was the composer at that time and I think the only song Salman composed in the "Dil Dil " album was "Do Pal Ka Jeevan". Songs like "Choori Choori" were not included in that album and well the rest is history. Salman's compositions are much better then that of Rohail's. Even the critics agree on that, Rohail can never come up with something like "Saein", "Jazba-e-Junoon" or the most beautiful compostion "Rooh Ki hai Pyaas".

Yep, it was Rohail and Salman, and I am so glad that things didnt get worse, Salman made a discreet exit from the band, and VS still carried on for a while. The good thing is that Junaid and Salman are very good friends, and oh yes, I also got hold of Vital Signs playing 'Saein', even though nothing can beat Azmat's vocals on that particular song, but its still fun to hear VS singing Saien! I will upload that soon too, as soon as I get hold of more space.

ahaaaaaaaaaah

Rohail was an outstanding composer. A large part of VS' legacy was Junaid's tremendous vocals but the slick music and catchy tunes definitely made them the best Pak band for me.

I actually don't like Junaid's solo stuff that much especially the music could've been a lot better. That certain mature, edgy sound was just not there any more.

And apparently Rohail was the guy behind that. Therefore, Rohail kicketh some major ass (of course all this, only in my humble opinion).

Yeah I agree , no one can be like Junaid Jamshed .He has been a class act.we love him.

I think most of Junaid's solo music was composed by Shoaib Mansoor. I thought his music was actaully kinda catchy. If I remember correctly 'Biddu" also composed a couple of songs for Junaid's first album. The only thing bad about Junaid and VS is that their live performace sucks. Junaid does not have the same melodic voice in concerts as he has on cd's and cassettes. Neither does his voice have the energy of Ali Azmat or even Haroon.

Someone earlier mentioned that VS/JJ have their own style while Junoon's style keeps changing. I'd say Junoon would probably take this as a compliment. It shows the diversity of the band. Everyone tries different things. Bryan Admas came from his rockin' days of Summer of '69 to Have you ever loved a woman kinda songs. I think its essential for a band/singer to have diversity in music. People will get bored after listening to the same stuff over and over again. I think this diversity makes Junoon a smash hit world wide.

Junaid bhai :k:

oh yeah blame rohail. its was salman who left the band bcoz he was ichin and dyin to do things his way but rohail being the leader of the band, simply couldn't allowe him to do things his way so he decided to bow-out of the band with tail between his legs . :~)
