Re: virus scanner

Re: virus scanner

Re: virus scanner
I'm using Avira. But I've heard good things about Kapersky.
Re: virus scanner

Re: virus scanner
then why doesn’t that come with my win7 and instead came with norton ![]()
does it work as well as other 3rd party ones? or does it come with holes like Microsoft stuff does anyways?
Re: virus scanner
Definately Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.
Although I've used Eset Smart Security 4 and It's pretty decent too.
Re: virus scanner
teggy, you got a hookup for either of thsoe two :@:
Re: virus scanner
Fo shizzle! You know I do'z :D
But, I have it on good authority that with a combination of some freeware tools you can pretty much blast any virus/trojan/root kit, etc. providing that your system hasn't been screwed beyong repair already, rendering OS Restore the only option.
Check your PM.
PS: No, I'm not giving her Product keys people. Just some good advice :p
Re: virus scanner
just get NOD (Eset)
Re: virus scanner
teggz: i've already got adaware installed. i think i might go with spybot too, but the last couple of years it hasn't been detecting anything so i'm thinking about it right now. unfortunately i still need a virus scanner and i don't know what to go with. meh =/
sheeda paa wohi na...nod or kaspersky? ...i guess the trend hasn't changed yet
Re: virus scanner
Try 'em both out. They give you a 1 month trial. That should help you decide which one you like better, and then you can purchase the full license for whichever serves you better.
PS: Try 'em one after the other. Having them both at once would defeat the purpose and often cause conflicts.
Re: virus scanner
lol thanks for the ps, but i thought of that too ![]()
Re: virus scanner
Just making sure. ![]()

Re: virus scanner
comodo
I used to use Trendmicro, but I recently switched to Bitdefender. Bitdefender is more successful at detecting viruses, but I've also found that it also hinders the performance of my computer more than Trendmicro.
Re: virus scanner
nod32 for me
