The entire concept of vitual sex is disgusting be it with your spouse. If we are staying away from our spouse for an extended period of time, maybe we should go into a state of fasting if one is getting uncontrollable urges.
The point is that while sex is a need of every human, it is also a matter of mutual respect and utmost privacy.
The other thing is that once someone gets into a habit of soing unconventional things, it can lead to other negatives that can become irreversible.
It is matter of personal choice , everybody does not find VS a disgusting thing.
Yes nobody will think about sex if their belly is empty ( fasting) but they cannot have a continuous fast for weeks and months at a time, right ?
Research suggests that if someone is into one kind of kinky stuff they do not necessarily indulge into other kinds. Masterbation is not considered kinky stuff though.

My bad yes , varoom suggested that. Muta is not allowed in sunni fiqh but it is allowed in Shia fiqh. Having said that.
I have already eliminated muta and second nikha, they are very expensive , the only reason someone these days is away from family is that they want to be a good provider for the family they allready have.

Very true and ideally how it should be for a momin/muslim.
However, with the posed question from the thread starter, it seems that, that boundary is already crossed. The question remains, Can a couple, or Not? Legally they can. Morally, i guess it depends on both.
It's a tricky subject. I am hoping Brother Psyah or someone else, can shed some light on it in the light of some references that either allow it or forbid it. Obviously there are certain things that even married couples cannot do (from a religious aspect). Is this one of them?!...

Mirch bhai, Sorry, what I am trying to say is that although you are talking about a more "acceptable" form of VS being it with a spouse, I feel people can get carried away via the different technological options available today. Start off with spouse, break the barrier, move on to discovering other options such as special adult sites meant for this purpose, and finally get stuck in all the mess.
We are taught in Islam to keep things simple. Why is alcohol discouraged? I know many people who drink in moderation and have very good control over themselves but there is always a chance to go overboard, get drunk, etc. Therefore, it is better to refrain from it in the first place.
Similarly, while it may seem that VS is a healthy option, I disagree because people have a tendency to start something with a good niyah but the tempatations are too many!
But then again, this is just my view point. No one has to agree.

Teggy are you married ? If yes then I admire your patience. If not then you will not know what kind of patience is required to hold someone off.
The question here is if someone does not have patience and cannot hold off what options one has
1. Muta - not allowed in sunny fiqh.
2. Second nikhah - the person cannot bear the financial burdon.
3. Masterbation - Some resort to it and Most of the ulema have allowed it.
4. VS - New technology new questions , and that is exactly what we are discussing. It can be considered another form of materbation , may be. I am not sure yet.

I always wonder when men specially desi men could stay unmarried uptill age of 30 to 35 for some xyz worldly reasons …… and a fair amount of them remain chaste till their marriages ……
