thats not strictly true - what is true.. if a woman (of mature age) doesnt marry then her janazah isnt farz on her (something like that!)

It could be due to the stigma of divorce in our culture especially being a divorced pakistani woman. Not many get the options of remarriage to a virgin or a never married for that matter…

okay..there r two non-virgins: those who were previously married and divorced/widowed, and those who lost it before marriage ( zina). Now, thsoe who commit zinna are advised to be with other fornicators, “good men for good women and bad men for bad women” is the phrase i believe, i can’t be sure , im only paraphrasing. Now , a divorcee isn’t prohibited from marrying someone whos’ never been married, but it’s advised because they would perhaps be better able to get along with someone who’s been through a divorce/death of a spouse as theyhave…
