I just heard from an unreliable source. that it is haraam for a non virgin man to marry a virgin women and vice versa.. is it true :konfused:

sara i dont think u can get ur virginity back by doing hajj. u can't undo what's already done.

Actually surah noor talks about another angle.. but not for the scenarios depicted in the first post.

I thought the Quran demands that virgins marry virgins, and leave the nonvirgins to nonvirgins (due to their fornication, not in cases like rape)

not exactly. Surah Noor, as I said, talks in a different angle. It’s not the interpretation of virgin should marry virgin and vice versa.

Doesnt’ hajj erase your sins? When u repent and Alllah forgives you, don’t you start over in a way? That’s what I always heard. Anyway, why make such a big deal?God i hope this doesnt go like Mem saab’s did :rolleyes:

there is a thing as second virginity- probably not islamicly ok,but if you had sex and than you decide you want to wait, than you say your going back to being a "virgin"
- i thought hajj reversed sin too.. but if your a non virigin your future husband/wife should know.. just like they should know about past relationships..

what surah noor talks about is ppl who r adulterators....
who r in this practice and an institution as sacred as marriage wud also not prevent them from such an act....

but if one has sinned, and repents, then Allah forgives his/her sins and nothing wrong with marryign a person who has repented from the previous sins....

If that were true than Islam wouldn’t have allowed to remarry (for both men and women). Infact, remarrying is highly recommended if one gets divorced or if the spouse dies.

it is not haram but i have noticed that many pakis who have been divorced tend to get married to other divorcees or folks how have already been married.
