Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

In any other civilized country, this party would have been banned by now not only for challenging the existence of country, treating its constitution as a piece of garbage. ‘Holy Cows’ playing god on earth for them and deciding what their fate will be. The so called civilian government is just looking like 'choorha and bhanghis in the eyes of ‘holy cows’. Where is NA and senate to ban this anti-Pakistan party? Where is CJ to call for suo moto against these criminals. This is not freedom of speech. These b@st@4ds try this in America and England and see what happens to them.

One day holy cows issue such news and the very next day support the same party. Does it make any sense?

I am impressed … PTI worker in 2013 dharna(arranged by Gen. Pasha)… attacked PTV building… PTI remain immune from any ban… MQM worker broke office of ARY digi…

Dharna was Gen Shuja Pasha’s brainchild, alleges Javed Hashmi - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

what you say s correct but than all the civilian govts after Zia licked their shoes starting with BB going to 90 after her victory. Iss hamam mein sub nangay hain.

There is also a theory doing rounds that this tamasha was done on the say so of the corrupt Nawaz to deflect attention from Panama leaks. None of these idiots are sincere to Pakistan. Today Nawaz is crying about AH's speech against Pakistan, can someone ask him what action he took against his brother and Sanaullah for the model town massacre.

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

Perhaps no one can touch them in view of full support by 'holy cows'. That is the main problem. I agree with your rest of post. When rulers are corrupt, they are very weak and can easily be blackmailed and humiliated by the 'holy cows'.

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

Your leader and his dogs are chanting Pakistan Murdabad, asking Israel, India, America Iran to help break Pakistan.

Yet you have the pathological audacity and shamelessness to say that your poor little MQM is being troubled for breaking ARY’s office windows?

Really? Who are you fooling here? Are people in Karachi that heartless that they are not even remotely moved by Pakistan Murdabad slogans and desperately looking for crap to justify what that dastard leader of yours had just said.

Yes PTI did dharna…and? Yup he camped in capital for 126 days, and? He’s the son of the soil, Pakistan is his country, he belongs to Pakistan. Unlike your leader, his marna jeena is in Pakistan and for Pakistan.

Tell your drunkard rat of a leader to dare set a foot on Pakistani soil, and then we’ll talk.

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

MQM gutaks wish that their party was being hounded for breaking ARY office windows.

Even their own party loyalists are saying that the sht has gone too far with Pakistan Murdabaad, and gutkas want us to believe that it's due breaking some windows which people had already forgotton about.

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

Just like any other strong feeling - loyalty (the loyal person), once realized that it had a wrong association, also goes through denial, anger, acceptance phase.

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

So chitrol will continue by rangers till they achieve the objectives. Why this party is still functioning? It should be banned by the government in view t tons of proofs against them surfaced in the media.

Key MQM leaders rounded up, party offices sealed, bulldozed - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

KARACHI: The apology from Altaf Hussain for his “anti-Pakistan remarks and slogans” and subsequent damage-control moves by the local leadership of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement do not seem to be working for the party as the authorities continued to round up key MQM men and seal its offices with some of them even bulldozed on Thursday.

In a related development in London, the British parliamentarians approached their government for action against the party because it was using “British soil against Pakistan”.

The latest arrests included the party’s MNA Asif Hasnain and Sindh Assembly member Shiraz Waheed.

Though there was no word from law enforcement agencies on the development, police sources confirmed the move and the MQM in a statement expressed concern over the action against the elected representatives.

“The details of cases against the two (legislators) would be shared with you people very soon,” said a senior police officer in a brief response to Dawn while confirming the arrests.

The MQM statement condemned the arrests and called it violation of the law. “The MQM is a patriotic and democratic party. But still its MNA Asif Hasnain and MPA Shiraz Waheed were arrested in false cases.

It’s against the spirit of the Constitution and law of the land. The people of Karachi are justified in feeling that they are pushed against the wall,” it regretted.

On the other hand, law enforcement agencies led by Rangers continued to seal MQM’s unit and sector offices in different areas of Karachi as well as other parts of Sindh. The party offices in Federal B. Area, Liaquatabad, PECHS, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Nazim*abad and North Nazimabad were sealed in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The local administration also sprang into action and demolished the party’s unit offices in Mosamiyat, Bhains Colony, Tariq Bin Zaiyad Society, Gulshan-i-Maymar and Shah Faisal Colony on the plea that they were raised on “encroached pieces of land”.

The action followed a directive by the Sindh chief minister for removing all encroachments in the city.

Taking a policy decision to resolve the issue of traffic congestion in the city, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah directed the Karachi administration to open closed parking areas of commercial buildings and shopping plazas within 10 days and also remove illegal parking and encroachments from important roads and areas, said a CM House statement issued after a meeting presided over by the chief minister earlier in the day.

According to an official, the decision to demolish the MQM offices built on state land and amenity plots was taken during a meeting between Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Shah on Wednesday. Besides, he said, the provincial and federal governments had also decided to dismantle or seal those offices of the party which helped unscrupulous elements or created fear among the general public.

In another significant development, giant posters of Altaf Hussain placed for decades were removed from the prominent Mukka Chowk — a place close to the MQM headquarters Nine-Zero — on Thursday.

The party strongly reacted to the removal of its founding chief’s posters from different areas of the city and warned that the move could lead to an “irreparable loss”. It claimed that “tolerance and intelligence” demonstrated by the MQM-Pakistan after the recent political crisis had managed to control the situation to a large extent.

“But these acts [removal of Altaf Hussain’s posters and demolition of party offices] are sabotaging all these efforts. This could lead to an irreparable loss, which is a source of serious concern for the MQM coordination committee,” the party said in a statement.

The situation was no different in Hyderabad where posters, banners and panaflexes carrying Mr Hussain’s picture were removed in different parts of the city by anti-encroachment staff under the supervision of law enforcement personnel.

Apart from growing challenges and criticism in Pakistan, the MQM is likely to face the same situation in the UK where the British legislators had already approached the government, questioning its lack of action against the party.

British-Pakistani parliamentarians such as Baroness Syeda Warsi and Lord Ahmed are taking a strong line on the issue on social media. Increasingly, MPs are writing to senior UK officials, asking why, despite years of investigations, no action has been taken against the party.

“Why we have not proscribed MQM as a terrorist organisation?” wrote Naz Shah, Labour MP for Bradford. In a letter to Home Secretary Amber Rudd, she also asked: “Why, despite the recent conviction of hate preacher Anjem Chaudhry, British police have not launched any investigation into the incitement of violence by Altaf Hussain on British soil against Pakistan?”

In another letter, Birmingham MP Khalid Mahmood asked both Amber Rudd and Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson why the British government had not taken any action against Mr Hussain. “I strongly believe,” he wrote, “that British citizens should not be using the United Kingdom as a political base to incite violence against countries that the United Kingdom is allied with, such as Pakistan.”

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

Do u think their would be any relaxation for MQM?

Most of their offices are either sealed or demolished!!! This is same MQM...who use to shut the whole city if one its flag falls down or something happens to the pic of Altaf Hussain... yet no sign of prorests???

Altaf Hussain on the other hand have called in South Africa and US reportedly used same language against his former daddies...

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

This is the best time for government to ban this fascist, racist anti-Pakistan party. If rangers are doing their job why the government is silent or inactive on this most serious issue? Why not NA session be called and slap a ban on this party? It will give legal cover to rangers too what they are doing. Otherwise their act is violation of constitution. Under what authority are they arresting and closing the offices of mqm?

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

If i recall it right, both NS and BB tried to get rid of this menace back in 90s, each time they were close to success...both were sent home by establishment...so niether Asif Zardari nor NS have any sympathy for MQM or Altaf Hussain...

At sametime both dont know when Daddy is going to stop it and hug its illegal child again...

So yeah let Ranger clean the mess and Sindh govt doing its best by retaking possession of parks and parking lots where MQM have illegally established their offices...

I doent seem that any sectiom of the govt or political parties is against this action...nor MQM have done any soul searching and washing...

So let the good thing continue...

And this

PTI’s Faisal Vawda attacked in Karachi - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

Seems like taking someone’s life in Karachi is just like a joke to these criminals (whoever they may be).

There may be sporadic incidents here and there but this mafia culture thankfully does not exist in places like Islamabad or Lahore or even Hyderabad Sindh. In fact you could argue that every city has its own culture. Someone born and raised in Islamabad may not feel at home in Peshawar or Quetta and vice versa. Karachi has been burning (sectarian violence, target killings, kidnappings etc.) for as long as I can remember. It used to be a peaceful city in the 60s and 70s (my mother taught at P.E.C.H.S Girl’s school before marriage) but sadly not anymore. I don’t know who’s more at fault, the natives (for staying silent for so long), the stakeholders (PPP waderas, MQM) or the outsiders (? Afghans) for disturbing the peace of this once peaceful and flourishing city.
Rangers operation should not only continue in Karachi but also extended to rural Sindh and other troubled parts of the country such as Southern Punjab

Makafat-e-amal ....

If Altaf hussain is sick, his associates suck more who apologize and do as per he says like robots. I think IK was right when he called them Zinda lashen.

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

I dont know, maybe it is real… but given then circumstances it is more like a staged drama to bail Imran Ismail and Faisal Vada out…

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

I agree it may only be a political stunt. I havent seen any real evidence of firing so cant say. Imran Ismail eats a lot of nihari. It could be his gastric issues, who knows.

Re: Violent protest by MQM workers in Karachi

I don't get how people listen to this guy and support him. He tells you to burn stuff down and you do it ? He is telling his followers to destroy their city and they blindly follow. I don't get it.

My family is originally from India too. We don't call ourselves muhajjars. Although I have extremely extended family in India, I do not consider myself Indian.

Meanwhile all these Urdu speaking people are all like "I'm an American citizen" when they move here.

Like wtf. Why don't they call themselves muhajjars then ?

Nail should have been in the coffin honestly when saulat Mirza admitted that he was sent to South Africa and then this mafia sent him from there to India to train on killing and causing chaos. How does that not have ghadarri written all over it?
