Regarding call for jihad against Urdu speaking people from Pashtun madressahs, MQM had raised this concern weeks ago. But no one in PPP racist government would pay attention.
Now the results of that hatred from those imams are evident. These calls for jihad against Urdu speaking people were raised in the same localities which are today experiencing indiscriminate violence from those people.
But some ignorant people here are accusing MQM of the violence instead.

The MQM Coordination Committee has appealed to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take action against the administrations of those mosques in Muslimabad, Qasba Colony, Aligarh and Orangi Town which, it says, have called for waging Jihad against Mohajirs while describing them as Jews and not Muslims.
Coordination Committee members Wasay Jalil and Qasim Ali Raza made this demand while addressing a press conference at the Khursheed Memorial Hall here on Friday.
**On the occasion, the MQM also showed a video wherein the announcement was made in the Pushto language asking the Pashtuns to come out of their houses and wage Jihad against Mohajirs.

The Jalil and Raza said that the MQM had passed through thick and thin but it never surrendered to such anti-social elements bent upon resorting to extremism and terrorism.
“This MQM is not of 1986 but it is now 2011 and the party has spread its roots all over the country,” they added.
**Jalil said that the purpose to invite the media was to show them how ethnic, linguistic and sectarian violence flared up during the past few days.

He said that certain anti-social elements in these specific areas had been hatching conspiracies to pit the Mohajirs against Pashtuns but by the virtue of being coalition partners they would foil all such designs and never allow the city’s peace to be disturbed.
Jalil said that all political parties had to show goodwill for restoring peace in Karachi, adding that it had now been decided that all the three coalition parties would ensure protection for the life and property of the citizens.
Replying to a question, he said that the video clip was also shown to the ANP’s Sindh president, Shahi Syed, who said he could easily identify these criminal elements.
Answering another question, he said the video would also be sent to the top authorities of the country as well as to diplomats.
Speaking on the occasion, Waseem Aftab said that the entire country, including Karachi, was in a state of war, and urged the media to play its due role in order to steer the country out of the present morass.
He also appealed to Asfandyar Wali to play his due role in the restoration of peace in Karachi. Raza and Jalil said that every Pushto-speaking person did not necessarily belong to the ANP as many of them also belonged to the MQM and one happened to be a member of the Rabita Committee.%between%

Bruv they are already made few areas of karachi as their new FATA region - try visting Shershah , Orangi , Suhrab GoTh and all other illegal encroachments , they are living at ..
They have their establishments at each corner of the city ... whether it south , east , west or north ... During riots they all come at Superhighway and cut the city in two pieces , so if you work in city and live at Gulshan -e-maymar , you had no choice but to stay some where in city on such occasions .

I would say make Karachi a separate province. Problems arise because of the control of Karachi by Sindhi speaking people, who are as much foreigners in Karachi as someone from Lahore or Quetta. They only use Karachi to fill up their pockets but don't care at all about its problems. In this last budget Karachi was allocated 2 billion rupees, which is the same amount allocated to little places like Nawabshah and Larkana.
Those in Sindh government don't even want to acknowledge the true population of Karachi. To them the city still has 7 million people when actually it is close to 20 million.
So if population is more than double than official estimates then the resources they give to the city are bound to be very short of the requirement. And this will create friction and resentment among people.
And that's what's happening.
To save Karachi, the city needs to get out of the hold of PPP Sindh. Karachi needs to be a province.
