Viewpoints from Sindh

Re: Viewpoints from Sindh

Brother, first of all you should have denied what I wrote or accepted and not go into bush beating by comparing one from another ... as I did not write if Wasi Zafar was good or bad or even took name of any other person :) ...

Now, no doubt that Atizaz is educated, well presented and quite shrewd person. I appreciate his knowledge, his intelligence, and the way he uses them (occasionally to twist facts in his conversation in most subtle way).

As for him not contesting election ... on PPP ticket, I think that it was a very shrewed political move by him, with lot of foresight, and nothing to do with principle. Seeing his political position today and understanding the ground realities of Pakistan politics, to me, he is gambling for much higher position than what he could get by being a PPP candidate in one NA seat.

You should know that he has no big future in PPP especially after Ex-CJ case his future in PPP has become worse (and those who know how PPP works would know what I mean). I would not have been surprised if PPP had denied him even ticket. He knows where he stands and I think he has achieved all what he can from PPP and now he is on another political route.

So, dont tell me that he did not contested election because of any principle, neither he is suffering because of any principle, but all is part of third world political necessity ... where politician test his standing and try to become an entity above being just a political party member contesting election. The route he is taking, he could win or lose but that is part of politics in third world.
