Re: Viewpoints from Sindh
You mean defending a person (ch Iftikhar) who was involved in corruption, misuse of power, misconduct and worse kind of nepotism means being honest? ... If you like to know honesty of Ch Iftikhar than ask the guy who could not join medical college or could not get government post because Iftikhar son could ... and Atizaz in collusion with corrupt judges, corrupt lawyers, and corrupt politicians, played a big role in politicising Iftikhar case and getting all investigation on Iftikhar stopped ... so, is that honesty?
You mean, as Law Minister ... appointing political workers of his party, many even convicted criminals, as judges (that itself is nepotism, corruption, misuse of power and being unjust on desreving candidates) is bring honest?
That is what Ch Atizaz is all about. He is intelligent and well presented. But, I think that he has no honesty, principle or morality ... and can dump country or party for selfish reasons any time.
He did indeed decide to not go into elections because of his fellow lawyers, so yes he does have principles. And unlike other two-bit contenders who can't even qualify to teach a high school class, he does have education and discipline, which is exactly why he's suffering because of his beliefs and what he stood for. And that is also why he's a better choice than most of the people out there, certainly better than illiterate Wasi Zafar who Mr. Musharraf and Q-League elected as the Law Minister (A shame).
