Video showing Pakistan Army torturing prisoners/suspects

Re: Video showing Pakistan Army torturing prisoners/suspects

So the way of thinking of Army elite has started entering the ranks of junior officers too. Well, this day had to come keeping in view how many other wrong doings were punished. Why doesn't the Pak-army understand that they too have to be in front of the Greatest judge one day. Were 60 long years were not enough t learn a lesson? As if they had any respect left anyway. I feel sorry for my pashtoon brothers who end up going through Swat and waziristan like incidents at the hands of army. Such things make Pakistan weaker by the day.

Lastly, I have myslef seen an incident with my own eyes, where an army officer was beating up a "civilian" besides the GT road for breaking a traffic rule. He made such a big fuss that it was very disturbing to see it. So yeah, whats in the video is not hard to believe. Besides, wasn't lal masjid not enough evidence of the extent our bahadur fauj can go to. Even chemical weapons were used on " bloody civilians".

Re: Video showing Pakistan Army torturing prisoners/suspects

Have you read that article yourself? In light of the article, can you call what these soldiers are supposedly doing as torture?

And 2 separate governments running inside Pakistan make it stronger?

I call it a cleaning operation. A necessary cleaning operation for our capital.

I agree with you bulldozer. Inshallah Pakistan Army will get rid of these so called taliban aka raw and mosaad agents out of pakistan.

First of all authenticity of the video should be determined. Who knows these were Afghan people being beaten by indians in Pak uniform. These things can easily be staged. The source of this video is after all an afghan!

Second: whatever is published on BBC should be taken with a grain of salt. We are all aware of malicious campaign BBC has launched against Pakistan for so many years (which is obviously not a surprise, given the number of indians working there).

Third: Just for a moment if we consider this video to be authentic (which is very doubtful), AFAIK, talibans are being caught on the battleground with the help of local people (with 99% accuracy), so this is the MINIMUM treatment these animals should get, given the atrocities and terror they have unleashed on the innocent public.

Just imagine what would these very taliban, who are being beaten, would have done had they captured some citizen or soldier.

As I said before, I would LOVE to see Muslim Khan being interrogated the same way!

Re: Video showing Pakistan Army torturing prisoners/suspects

whether they are right persons or not, torturing ppl, especially such elderly ppl so brutally is shamefull. Even if they are not supporters of Taliban/Alqaeda, they will be for sure after what they suffered. This isnt what we are expecting out of the war against terror...

The video is clearly shot from behind ones shoulder and the quality is good , perhaps a good quality mobile phone, Army would be scratching their head now to know the reason of this leak. Perhaps trusting a lot on the "MEDIA" is bad... to me this seems a covert media person in the field or even a rogue army person...

Re: Video showing Pakistan Army torturing prisoners/suspects

If they are 'innocents' then they have my sympathy but if they are real criminals and have been invloved in beheading soldiers, innocents civilans then i dont give a flying ****. They deserve it.

Guys i know it looks 'cruel' but lets for a second think of those soldiers who were beheaded by these same people, think of those 2 millions+ people who lost their home, relatives, loved ones, own brother & sister and etc. If we compare this 10 mins to what the people of SWAT have suffered because of these 'morons' then its nothing. And beside its not like army is taking their fingernails off or shooting them. They are just getting 'whipped & kicked', i have seen much worse than this, these morons are lucky they are just getting this.

Just google "taliban behading people" and see for yourself what these morons have done to our soldiers & innocent civilans, they have caused havoc in Pakistan, our international image has been destroyed, 1900+ soldier gave up their lives, 2500+ have been wounded, we have lost over $35 billion because of this war, millions have been left homeless, without shelter & food. YES ! These Talibans are responsible for the mess we are in.

These soldiers who are torturing them have lost thier 'colleagues', their own army members have been beheaded, treated like animals. I will say it again, if you have a strong heart, then just goolge their videos and that is when you will realise this is absolutely nothing compared to what they have done to us.

Were you really expecting Pak army to distribute sweets & tea to these people after arresting them? We had to 'milk out' the vital information to carry out raids, arrests etc and to get such 'vital information' these steps are neccessary because without this they would'nt have uttered a single word.

And those who are talking about 'Human Rights' remember Every Story has 2 sides, its not like these talibans are innocents! And remember what Goes around Comes around. At one time when they were in control they were blowing up our 'beautiful cities', beheading people, torturing Police officers & army jawaans but unfortunately for them, their time has to come to an end now. Now it's time they payback for what they have done.

PS: If these talibans are getting this threatment then i wonder what they leaders have got after being arrested alive, well to be honest they deserve it.....

Or maybe this video is staged, i have my doubts because i dont think our army is stupid enough to allow someone to film such acts. This video is probably fake, anti-army or anti-pak elements have done this to damage Pak army image.

Either way, if these people are actual Taliban and not innocents, then they deserve it. It's their time to pay back.

Re: Video showing Pakistan Army torturing prisoners/suspects

As usual, these guys are crying about their precious scum being tortured

Video Exposing the Torture of the Pakistan Army - Islamic Awakening Forums

First of all, we do not know the authenticity of the video...made in Bollywood?

Anyway, even if it is true, how did someone make it? Is the army so stupid to allow this to leak out?

Plus I hate it when people give this video an ethnic color. This is not about Punjabi or Pathan.

If the video is true, than this could and may have happened in any part of Pakistan. I think you guys have not seen the normal police chitroole in Pakistani police stations. Its even worse.

What we are talking about here is (if this video is true) is the lack of law and order in Pakistan. If some institution (army) exceeds its limits and infringes on personal liberties and respect, than there has to be a court and rule of law to challenge such incidents. Ofcourse there are none.

All this story seems to be a deliberate attempt by our enemy to exploit our weaknesses and divide Pakistan along ethnic lines. This is were you need a strong Islamic ideology that binds even the most diverse people as it did in times of the Prophet (pbuh).

Dude, your such a hypocrit.

Beating prisoners is not torture?!?!

Im sure they will. But as always, we will have to accept such disgusting and blatant violations such as these in the process.

Re: Video showing Pakistan Army torturing prisoners/suspects

Nope! Not in this case!!!

So what is it in this case then?

May not be prolonged, but there is equal evidence indicating that torture doesnt work in general.
Cortisol impairs mental functioning… And it is always high in high stress situation..
Also, to distinguish whether the prisoner is telling the truth or simply telling lies the interogator wants to hear?!?!

Re: Video showing Pakistan Army torturing prisoners/suspects

Your posted article says:

This is neither extreme pain nor extreme stress. Intimidation is a very effective interrogation tool too. As far as the distinguishing between truth and lies, interrogators are thoroughly trained in this art. And there are easy to read tell tale signs, in a human behavior, of when a person is lying or telling the truth.

I’m very curious though, what do you suggest the Army should do with these people, keeping in mind that hundreds of thousands of people are waiting for the operation to end so that they can go home.
