^most of the stuff in this thread is polki jewelery..polki is just another word for uncut diamond.
It is usually used in collaboration with kundan..

polki is roughly cut stones.
(they all have to be cut to fit)
they are just roughly cut, and therefore not as brilliant as a polished stone that has been cut to bring out the dazzle
