I am not sure how much 22k gold and diamonds are in this jewlery you can get a certified 1 carat diamond for 2K but most of the pieces look like they use really small pieces which are the lowest in diamond quality. The designs are beautiful but not a good buy for the serious stone buyer. The best option is to buy loose stones and have them fitted into antique pieces that are bought seperated, or have a costume replica designed for low cost. If you are in the Los Angeles or New York area the Diamond markets are phenomenal for good quality stones at low prices. Many desis will buy loose stones and have them made into jewlery back home....

the kundan/polki jewelery has a base of lakh.....at least that is what i was told...most of the cost is of the diamonds...22k gold is plated over the lakh....or the gold design can have 'lakh bhara hua' inside it.....best is to buy it from a certified seller...keep your paperwork...because it is as valuable as the jewelery itself....
