the only solution is using your hands (given they were properly washed beforehand)...obviously your body temp is gonna be higher than the cold steel so no problem with transfer of heat energy and since you control how wide apart your fingers are there's zero excess loss of rice due to "spaces" in the fork and since you also control size of the bite you form i guess there'll be no problem of "too much" rice either.
and dont come up with the obvious and expected reply of its not as "sophisticated" when you eat with your hands cuz the same argument could go for eating with plain spoon vs fork n knife.
Best utensil to eat rice-hands. However I must admit I'm less likely to do that in public-I'm more likely to use a fork. Not sure how it happend though as I use to eat rice with a spoon up until a few years ago.
lol i agree with you...i always need to have a good amount of rice in my mouth to enjoy the taste properly(not that it flows out of my mouth) but the quantity you get with fork is too less to cherish the rice fully...
^No, fork is better. It allows some room between the grains of rice, allowing the aroma to circulate better and this giving more impact of flavour when one is savouring it.
