Actually when I was a kid, I used to go to my friend’s house for dinner, one day his mother ( a desi aunty) scolded me at the table for using a spoon for rice.. " beta put that spoon down eat your rice with fork.. you know beta eating with fork is a fashion now , high standard people eat with forks and knives" (obviously in her desi accent) … that was her exact words to a 7 years old kid and all I wanted to do at that time was to grab that fork and poke it into her deleted.. to this date I eat my rice with spoons.. looking at forks reminds me of that incident and I hate them eve mo..
