The awy I see it, if I put alot of effort into my everyday look I sure as hell am gonna look my best for my wedding and no way am I gonna look like a freakin hobo.
but if someone prefers to go simple, good for them. Just odnt' expect me to.

Going simple for your mehndi is not a hobo look its actually the whole point of the event. Its supposed to be in celebration of the brides preparations.
My mehndi jora was neither too heavy nor too simple…it was a frock (with fall/tail at the back n smaller in length at front) n choori daar…it had some gota n thread work on its ghaira and bootis on the rest of the frock…the paiti (upper portion of frock) was of a contrasted jamawar!!!
The mayion wala although was a simple chiffon jamawar yellow jora…with chocolate brown trouser (contrast)
Thankyou :halo: I think mehndi is all about colors…so instead of going for a simple plain yellow jora…its better to play with colors while designing the mehndi dress…it should not necessarily be too heavy…but colorful and traditional!!!
Plain yellow jora can be worn at mayion!!!
my mehndi peshwas is yellow with pink gotta around the neckline, sleeves, dupatta. I’m also getting those zari balls for the dupatta and currently contemplating what colour.

**My paranda is a fusion of bright colours like yellow, pink, purple, green.
Mixing colours is definitely awesome for mehndi as its supposed to be a colourful event but I dont think clothes full of heavy kaam look nice.
