Not so crazy about her red shaadi jora but the pink reception one and the Vera Wang outfit are lovely. Gosh, the cake! The flowers! I think I’ll keep gushing for days. TFS

Oh & ladies I finally made my centerpieces or at least finalized the idea. I think It’ll be ideal for a valentine theme. Its the typical floating candle in a glass bowlwith flowers. I am gonna post pictures in the centerpieces thread. I think it will look ideal for the theme.

Ok, did anyone have a Valentine themed wedding or is going to have one?
What elements do you think can be added to make a baraat/valima Valentine themed?
What colours would you choose if given the opportunity to set up a Feb 14 romantic wedding?
Any bridal lehnga suggestions?
Me??.. Hmmm I think I would choose the colours ‘Magenta’ and ‘dark Navy’ with gold accents - IMHO, pink and red have been over used.

i actually did go to one..it was one of my close friends...she wore a golden lehenga and her hubby wore a offwhite sherwani with a red pugri..
and the table cloth was red with white napkins... also they had given out these heart shaped cinnamon flavored candies to everybody! it was reallly gooood!
they had a lot of irani deserts and biscuits!

oo and i love the theme / pics you have here...they are beautiful! i agree pink and red are too overdone!...
i like to be different..i want to have the non traditional colors...coz yes someoppl like to be traditional..but when u look at pics..every red bride...looks the same..its the same old red legenga's....obv different stlyes and alll...but thts jsut me...
for the valima my theme is grey and red and silver work...for shaadi..its purple/ with teal and gold work
i do want to bring in the damask...somewhere..so i still have to figure tht out
