Just because Edwards voted against tort reform..doesn’t make him a bad person.
Think about tort reform in context to issues…
Think about Merck and Vioxx…lawsuit filed in Illinois…rightly so..this drug supposedly increases heart problems by 50%…
If tort reform was in place…might that give license to big drug companies, dangerous product producers, etc… to weigh costs? Some may chose to make large earnings rather than watch out for the public good.
Seems most states haven’t had a problem with accepting Product Liability lawsuit monies regarding the Tobacco industry.

Though they both are dodging the direct question. Like the one being asked what VP will do different in the coming 4 years to capture Bin Laden. Cheney went on to tell everyone how much Afghans are making progress rather than saying how they can capture Bin Laden. Edwards didn't answer that either ...

The allegation that Kerry/Edwards changed their votes and views based on John Dean pulling ahead has legs. It is a tough allegation to refute. Bush could not say it, but Cheney can. Edwards tried to bait Cheney into the "halliburton" thing, but Cheney didn't bite.

well he was simply appreciating cheney and his wife for taking care of their gay daughter in a best possible way and then he emphasized that every one should deal gays and lezbians the same way...with respect and love....and actually cheney thanked senator edwards for his kind words ...

It was sweet way of making it obvious to viewer that He has Lesbian duaghter & still support Ban on Gay Marriage.
And I thought Cheney's Thank was more sarcatic.
I might be wrong though.
I am not watching the debate but on the radio it sounds Cheney is getting a bit aggravated.
