For those of you who are interested, I just got word from Pakora that his Visa application was ACCEPTED, and he will be vacationing in the US this summer. He is thrilled.

Thanks everyone.

Yes I went for the interview on the 1st of june , and the background check took nearly seven months, but at the end of the day I got my Visa. :) :) :)
